Its more the drivers then anything else. too afraid to push the gas.

the focus is ONE UGLY pile of crap. It has NOT been very reliable at all. In the last couple years it has improved quite a bit but I wouldnt touch one with a ten foot pole.

just a few examples.

the smart shouldnt get stuck cause its low. my CIVIC is lowered. My front lip/bumper is maybe 3-4" off the ground. and my car does fine in the snow. Why cause I have proper winter tires. Ive never been stuck. Many guys I know slammed way more(with less then an inch clearance) never get stuck cause they have proper tires. Being low wont get you stuck.

Everyone has a price.

You can make girls into each other's mouths while being videotaped for a price.

I never said no one has problems.(the 01-04 civics had did have more issues then civics had in the past)..probably most of the other cars on there dont have FIRE as an issue :nervous:

Ford prefers to call it "spontaneous combustion". No one can explain why it happens.

focus are the most equipped for less, roomier, more powerful and are very reliable.

Plus it looks better than all these imports (except civic06)

Malek, you dont know me, ill be easy on you this time. stike one ;)

I work for a company that does R&D work for automotive manufacturers world wide. - ive done work on Focus's in the past.

Focus - Ford's cheap economy car. and i do mean cheap!! don't tell me you drive it on the highway? i have never felt so vunerable while driving a Focus. a geo Metro is more stable at high speeds (just keep these cars away from cross winds, wakes/drafts, puddles, ant hills etc...). the materials the use in these things are the srcaps that are left in the recycling process.

Focus has improved. but keep it in the city.

Focuses handle like ing BUTTER. Seriously.

However, the Mazda3 is the EuroFocus platform and is a billion times nicer to drive.

Nat, get a Mazda3. everything else. :)

What a joke! I don't care what badge is on the front of the car - anybody who considers a car built in North America, with North American sourced parts to be Japanese needs to get out an atlas and learn some geography.

Your argument holds a lot of water RJ, and I agree with you, but unfortunately the automotive industry does not - a Toyota Corolla built here in Cambridge is just as Japanese to the industry as is a Toyota Crown built in, say, Nagoya.
