I'm a paralegal, My area of law is civil litigation, mostly plaintiff motor vehicle accidents and slip and falls.
HATE IT!!! to be honest, very isolating work. It was kind of a plan D option after high school.
On the bright side it is downtown so it's convenient when you need to do any personal things on your lunch time.
I often find what you like to do and what you end up with are two separate things.
Hopefully, I'll be in school again in the Autumn, when I go back to London, looking at Urban and Environmental Studies.
Oh, and plus my workmates share that same dry wit, sarcasm and dark sense of humour that I have. So atleast we can have a good laugh:) |

OK people...you really have to stop posting exactly where you work!
You do not want your employer identifying your posts on TA, do you?
It baffles me how many of you do this |
my employees and manager know exactly about my party life and places/clubs I go to.. and about TranceAddict and about my future plans.. To be completley honest.. my manager listens to Erick Morillo and other house music and I even tried to get him to come out with me for Morillo, but he didn't want to be home at 4am.. other employees in my office have been to raves back in the day too.. I really don't think I have much to worry about here :)
But thanks for the concern! |

Yea, my two partners know exactly what I get up to... I dont worry to much about trying to hide my personal life from work.
Trust me, the once they realized I got my tongue pierced (I'm an accountant), nothing shocks them too much about me anymore. And the tongue thing would be worse from their perspective, since there's a risk clients would see it, and be offended and we'd lose their business or respect (much of our client base is older 40-50 year old company presidents who are conservative, or 60-80 years with lots of money (who are even MORE conservative). I find it laughable how a tongue ring can connote so much to the older generation (in a negative way)... I know, like it or not, ridiculous or not, though, that it does/would cause the majority of our clients to form less than "professional" opinions of myself and our firm.

I'm a Team Leader of the Rosti station at Richtree Market Restaurants (formerly Marche) in Square 1 Mississauga. Ever since I became Team Leader, this job has taken on an entirely different meaning to me and now I love it.
I always thought I'd end up in hotels after I was done with my Hospitality degree but restaurants seems a real possiblity now.
YAY FOR ROSTI!!!!!!!!! |

Hah! it is me the evil paralegal lol
Yeah, you insurance people are really sucking the money out of us Ontarians!
Since they raised the deductable to $30, 000 and the laws are more in favour of insurance companies now. There's not much money for a plaintiff to get in an MVA claim
Atleast I stand up for the little guy:p
Well, hopefully it won't be my worry anymore:) |
