Hilarious , I asked if i could help Erika says " no man you're my guest I got it all" as she masters 4 elements on the stove at once dancing to Mauro Picotto at Aria 2004...
Such a ninja.

There were so many people at my house at one point before Aria that I thought the floor in my living room was going to collapse on some poor people downstairs...Ninja was telling all of us how stupid we are that we were gonna miss Capital J and I was feelin' bad that we weren't going but I needed to relax a bit before Aria...and THANK GOD I did because nothing prepared me for the 3-day extravanganza/mayhem that was about to ensue...
It's 2:30 and I was looking at the line-up thinking I haven't seen it so long since Ferry was in town..I was worried if the night was gonna be packed or not and this gave me a hope that it was going to be very busy..as long as I can dance then it's all good, I like it when the club is nicely packed because you feed off the energy of every single person in there. Ninja and the peurfs were outside and we all got together and came in like a swarm of TAs ready for anything. Little did we know of course that a dude called Tom from Holland, a.k.a. Junkie IN' XL would put on such an amazing show and feast for the eyes and ears, only to be followed by a techno legend that drops in Southpark samples into the most banging and hard tracks imaginable....MAURO FOR 6 HOURS!!! :eyespop: all over the place...
But let's take it step by step:
Like ninja says, Louis improves every time I see him at Aria. I remember he did a really insane build-up and the dancefloor was pretty packed by then, I can't remember the song right now but it was one that he spins usually except this time.. I don't know, the build up was really something else, he connected with the crowd, ninja was goin :crazy:, Mayo (peurf) was playin around with the light next to Louis shining it on everyone, and I remembered so many TAs on the dancefloor...it was really cool. One of my favorite moments was seeing Shara (Azia)!! Soooooo happy you were able to make it, I don't have to tell you that you would of been kicking yourself if you didn't! :D :D
Then the great moment comes...lights dim and Louis points to the other side of the stage and this BRIGHT LIGHT shines on Junkie and his trademark hat..we're all screaming and I'm just amazed that Aria has this awesome set-up...one guy in front of his set-up up high on the ramp.
Trancy melody kicks in and as soon as I saw Junkie start orchastrating his sounds I thought this guy is a crazy showman..he looked so into his set that you couldn't of NOT danced when you saw him, seriously, the reason why everyone is talking about how great the vibe that night was is because of this guy. As soon as the HARD beat kicked in, that was it and I was hooked for the next two hours..the stage he was on was vibrating as he was jumping up and down and left and right singing along to all his tracks and looking at us like 'you people have no idea what I'm about! Take this!' and the drop was so much more INTENSIFIED that i felt it in every fibre of my body...Bliss.
His second hour was much better than his first but in general his performance was PHENOMENAL..I can't wait to see him again, that 'EACH STEP I TAKE THE SHADOWS GROW LOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGEERRRRRR' track was one of the best of the night for sure and it gives me goosebumps everytime I think of it now...
Mauro Picotto more than lived up to my expectations. I saw him three years ago in a small club in Cyprus where he spun for like 2 hours or something and I remember thinkin 'WOW SICK ING SICK!' but ohoho..this time at Aria...I mean, people if you weren't present there is no way to make you understand how good it was. He spun Komodo, and the Aria track, but what made my night was when I realized that he wasn't moving from that DJ booth. Vermz and me talking about how he sounds like Holden sometimes hehe, funny .
So happy to have seen Mauro in Montreal because it's obvious that he loves it here. At one point I was dancing in front of him and he had his eyes closed, moving his body to some SICK-SYNTH-FULL melody and was grabbing the air in synch with a sample..so cool to see a DJ who knows so much about what he's doing.

As for the afterparty Stereohead and Ninja coverd it pretty well. All to say that Julius has a bright future ahead of him as a DJ if he continues to amaze like that with his sets...you guys will soon know why we're raving about this guy so much, he's something else. And if you wanna see a DJ reaaallllllyyyyy get into his set then watch this guy...just watch him and tell me if you jaw doesn't drop.

Hakisak playin on Abelton all googlymooglyeyespopped smiling from ear to ear..Erika spinning on Abelton, sooo into it, you can feel that she loves the music way too much for an average person hehe...too bad Anne couldn't make it for the afterparty I heard that she wanted to come ...:( next time for sure! (And yes, there will be a next time and yes this will always happen from now on after afterhours...pffffft). I was more than happy to have everyone over my place later on Sunday, we just continued the party with the same people and even more this time (Anne made it!) and it was very cool, thank you for making that happen guys. :) :D
Ahh, I really love this afterhours lifestyle coz you feel connected to all the people you partied with and every next time its even bigger and greater and we feel happier and say how it was the best ever..I just think how we were all amazed after Porter and then this happens...I mean, :eyes: Love you guys..
All this to say that I'm probably not going to party in a very long time. I'm happy that I ended it with Junkie (a new DJ that I will Defffinately look out for as should every EDM lover) and Mauro (a DJ I appreciate even more now....haha I heard how he was in Toronto..sorry dudes :tongue3 )
Will write more funny moments as my memory puzzles the pieces together..
