As i sit here listsening to Junkies WMC 2004 Video and hear these vocals I'm reminded of how amazing this night was from start to finish.
It begins with me meeting Louis at about 12:30 PM at his place, then quickly off by myself to go see my boy Capital J @ Blue Dog...I knew no one would be there knwing the choxkers on this forum, but much to my surprise and joy, I saw the four puerfs, Meo, Verms and Company chillin in there waiting for Caps to start!! had a couple D-day shots for Caps, and the Peurfs and myself, and later Piett (Julius) danced hard to come wikkid D&B The peurfd and myself both loved the first 40 mins of the set then we pretty much all left to Aria at the same time to ctahc Louis.
Got to Aria, and I hadn't seen a line like this in ages, it was way around the corner of the building, but luckily lots of TAs were still in line and i took them all in with me. So we had about 20+ TAS come in the starting of the night and rush the dancefloor for Louis set!!! Awesome.
Louis, like every time, was better than the last, he just keeps on improving its really good to see his passion for the music come through in his musical selection and style of play/mixing. He did an AMAZING warm-up for what was to be an unreal show.
Louis key choons :
Bleep, Cirez D, My Hump (insano remix), Aftermath etc.
Then when Louis was finsished he pointed straight ahead of him and up to the elevated DJ booth across the dancefloor to Junkie who was ready to giver FAKIN HARDORE.
The spotlight when on Junkie and never left his DJ booth for his full 2 hours of mayhem...He is such a Showman, mouthig all the vocals to the sexiest lyrics ever, so much energy such UNINGBELEIVABLE Prograssive Classic anthems he played back to back to back...the guy was dancing like no other DJ I"ve ever seen in my life, and he was dancing so hard that I thought the moniters in his dj booth were going to fall right off and hit the floor...amazing..what an amazing dj, and nice guy, got to meet him and thank him for hit set.
Junkie Key Choons :
Breezer, Today, Enjoy the Silence, Coldplay - True (Junkie XL Remix), And this track thats on his website on the wmc video "Each step I take the Shadows Grow Longer" were the vocals...INSANE TRACK.
Then Junkie pointed back to the main DJ booth for Mauro...he held his arm pointed for a solid minute...but nope he wasn't finished....
"YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT>>>>TO PAAAAAAAAARTY" he blasted some ridicuilous remix to the Beatie boys and passes us over to Mauro...amazing.
Mauro started hard, very hard...good solid techno, everybody on the dancefloor was going mental for him, such a great vibe..every single ta was in front at one point dancing to mauro is was really cool....he kept going in and out from techno to tech to even a little minimal..which i didn't mind at all, Mauro has such a quiet confidence when he spins, like he knows you're gonna love his music, almost cocky, but humble as well. Very nice guy. Then Mauro just kept going and going and going...I kept loking at my watch 9:01 still going 9:02 still going 9:03 still going...LOL he kept spinning until about 11:10!!! 6 ing hours from a guy who was booked for 3, could play any club in the world, and sell it out, and was aslo ING SICK!!! HE HAD THE FLU!!!! What a nice guy and it also shows that the vibe of this night was unmatchable. Period.
Key Mauro Choons:
Cirez D - Teaser, Switch - A bit patchy, Some older Techno Classics, Some Coxy Remixs, Depeche mode remixs, and some tracks that i need, not much if any off his new album, and surprised he didn't play "Aria" which of course is named after the club. Aslo he played this South Park Sound Byte in this Techno Track was insane Cartmen says "I hate ing Germans" the BOOOOM the beat hits hard!!! insane!!!
Anyways my hats off to Biggy, as this night could not have been better booked, Louis was perfect for junkie, then junkie for mauro...it was very well done...All those who missed a 6 hour extended by three hour set of Mauro is an poor poor bastard.
Memorable moments:
Neo Hacker...I totally remember that!!!! That guy was yelling GOOOOOOOOOOO MAURROOOOOOOOOOOOOO YA MAURRRRRRRRRRO YOU ROOOOOOOOOCK, and the poor guy didn\t kno he was yelling at Junkie XL LMAO, so i had to tell someone that they should teel this porr ninja that its junkie!! lol...nice to meet you!

Shaking mauro and Junkies hands...amazing. Got the meganite key chain.
Hanigng with all the TAS and friends always a blast and hats off to the peeps who always close with me, erika, nick, juan, and now shara, who impressed me huge.
Kendo you awesome ninja, was great to see you out again, and enjoying the toons as much as i do, and you're welcome for keeping the thirst quenched.
And the new TAs i met, wikkid to party with you guys, post more often so you can meet the rest of the tas!!!

Afterparty:
Went to julius' place after aria for some chillin. Once everyone finally arrived, and we had gotten some rest, julius started into a 12 hour set of mayhem...dark synth electro prog at its best...he recorded about 5 hours of it...be sure to catch this set when it comes out on TA..Julius who are an absolute gentleman, and solid mate, thank you so much for the hospitality.
Breakfast @ 7pm:
Thank you to Nick and Erika for hosting the breakfast at Nics place, was great to reunite with juan, shara, anne, HAKISAK, nick, erika, eriks, cousein and her firend, for some good eats and come good stories, I can't thank Nick and Erika enough for thier hospitality, you guys are amazing people.
I think I'm gonna be hungry in 20 mins....
I think I might take a nap soon..

yeah I agree. Maybe not a video but A LOT of photos would have been appreciated. Now I have to use my brain and memory to remember the night...this is veryyyy hard :toothless
Seriously, I was surprised to not see Malek at this event. Or any others EDMM staff to cover the event... |
