BUT THEY CHOOSE TO BE THAT WAY!!!

I mean in Afaganistan sure womans were treated like cattles, but in all other countries they are treated well.

To an outsider like us it seems cruel that they have to cover their whole body while going out.

But whever their is some poll, most of girls say that want this veil. Females chose to wear veils, its not forced on them.

But yes their is domestic violence on women, but its also there in any other community, but than yes one in million muslim girl get gangraped, but its also their in many other community.

Beleive me, ask any muslim girl, they wear veil on their own will.

islam isnt about hate and terrorism you ignorant . its as much about love, devotion and faith as christianity is. the "religious extremists" that commit these acts are the ones who accept the idea of the 6th pillar of islam, which is jihad. jihad means to struggle. more or less those who believe in the 6th pillar as being one of the pillars of islam are the ones who believe they have to fight against all evil and wrongdoings to the islam faith. the 6th pillar of islam isnt widely accepted. its not considered as an original pillar like the other 5 in the mainstream islam world.

the first 5 are:

-profession of faith in Allah
-Prayer
-Paying of Alms, which literally meanings "to grow (in goodness)" or "increase", "purifying", or "making pure." Rich Muslims will donate money or produce, and that money or produce is given to the poor. its a certain percentage of their annual savings but i dont remember exactly how much
-Fasting
-The pilgrimage to Mecca

do you see anything in there about burning down embassies or killing Americans?

They do. But not activly, less they be targeted by the terrorists. What prominent clerics are doing is condemning terrorism and denouncing usama as a fake, being that he has NO actuall standing in teh religious structure of Islam, hes just a rich ass hole, not even a cleric.

wasn't it mohammed who came up with the jihad idea..?

Crazy stuff there. We believe in freedom of speech, they believe in allah and mohammed, fine with me. They don't have the right to tell us to give up our freedom of speech. Djeez, they cut our throths and we're not allowed to laugh with f*uckin cartoons of mohammed???

What I find most ironic is that if this cartoon was that offensive, than muslims in Europe should have started protesting first. They saw it first, noone said a word.

But now apparently even they started protesting after people in Indonesia stormed the embassy.

you mean like how they have to cover their heads? do you even know why?

The main principle reason for the hijab is modesty, which is not wishing to receive unnecessary attention from people, such as admiration and flattery, envy, or, most importantly, sexual attraction from those other than her husband.Great care is taken to keep sexual thoughts, feelings and interactions to within the boundaries of the marital relationship.

These types of attention may boost the 'ego' for the short term, but all have the potential to lead to disastrous consequences in the long term, for example leading to confused feelings, competition, suspicions, affairs, break-up of marriages and other relationships, disturbed children, and ultimately a community where people are insecure, unhappy, and divided amongst themselves.

From this it can be seen that the hijab is a manifestation of another important principle in Islam, which is valuing benefits which are permanent above those which are temporary. What is permanently beneficial is, for example, a happy marriage between two people who aim to learn, teach and apply Islam to the best of their ability in their lives. This is seen as that which brings about the true happiness of the soul for eternity, by purifying and keeping it in its pure, natural, God-created state, filling it with peace and contentment, patience, gratefulness, love and compassion. What is temporary are the momentary pleasures derived from, for example, people's opinions of you, leading to your own self-satisfaction, or, even more basically, those derived from physical sensations.

A strong marriage, and a peaceful, cooperative, happy community, where people's feelings towards one another are good, will not only provide the true happiness that the soul needs, but also, in moderation, the good opinion, physical, and other pleasures that the ego requires. ego requires.

no, i mean that their family has to kill them if they were raped, because it is a stain on family's reputation. and hundreds of other examples.
Tiger777
my point is that mohammed, founder of islam, came up with the idea of the jihad as 6'th pilar. He invaded arabia with an army: the jihad.

Islam without 6'th pilar would be like christianity without Mary.

Lets compare the number of women who were stoned over "there" with the numbers over here. They win this one because drugs are strictly prohibited over there.

+1
Its wrong to put extremists in the same pot as average muslims. The media has built us up to fear and hate the middle east, and so have our president's actions.
Yes, its really ghey they have to blow up, but its unfair to accuse the whole of islam for something some tards organized.
