Am I the only one who thinks that burning the Danish flag is resorting to the same low level intelligence that of the depicting cartoon?
And why are muslims even in denmark, no one is holding a gun to their head telling them to live there. Its their CHOICE. If they dont like denmarks freedom of speech..GET THE OUT!! |

I think it is their way of expressing their unhappiness with what they perceive to be an act of disrespect.

find it kind of interesting that usually people are all "i have freedom of speech to say this" and then proceed to talk like a total c**t about someone else.
the (UK) government responded to that saying there's a difference between freedom of speech and being blatantly inflammatory...
wonder if this kind of statement will echo in the future. ie "i have freedom of speech" doesn't wash when you're just bein' a kunt. |

And about that racism... this has nothing to do with racism. I condamn all jewish, christian of muslim violent actions for their religion, just as every intelligent guy would do. Did you see any christian put buildings on fire because of the "it's jesus, LOL" cartoons that were posted here a while ago? Don't think so.

Don't we see hundreds, thousands of children and women die in the poorest, most depraved regions of Africa because of Christian fundamentalism? When 'Christian' administrations withhold funding for health clinics and hospitals and aid because those who work in the clinics or hospitals teach 'birth control,' no one blinks, no one murmurs.
But now, we spit outrage?
Seems a bit hypocritical to me. |

Actually 'Christian' administrations also withhold funds to those who are not willing to 'convert'. They just let them die of hunger and disease.
But on a whole these administrations do more good than bad. |

| come on people! the fact that all these news papers all over europe chose these SPECIFICALLY OFFENCIVE cartoons to demonstrate freedom of speech is rediculous. That's simply an excuse the papers used to justify what was obvioulsy a racist move on part of the first paper. the fact that the other ones had to join in to try and make it seem legitimate is despicable, and a testimate to the racism in europe; which many TAs will no dought try and deny, even though its obvious if you read this thread. |

I didnt read this thread but I gather its about that idoitic reaction to the mohammad cartoon. my take on it this ppl are stupid and so is religion. I know i'm over generalizing but you get the idea. I thought it was funny they burned down the Denmark embassy when they had nothing to do with publishing the cartoon.
I'm writing a secular bible. The first commandment will be...
1. Thou shall not be stupid.
2. Thou shall not be stupid and violent.
3. Thou shall not do stupid and violent things in the name of religion.
I'm going to have a picture of josh4 just incase you are to stupid to read and understand the commandments I have written. |
