Yummy , Yummy! RICE!!
Ok... I LOVE FOOD!! LOL:stongue: And I travel All over the city, just for food. Here's my top rice picks in Toronto.
Best Chinese Food: HONG FATT BBQ RESTAURANT (1 block west of Spadina, on dundas, south side of theb street) The best chinese food is CHEAP! You HAVE to try the BBQ pork!! OMG.. melts in your mouth!!
Best Indian Food: KAMA SUTRA (1/2 block North of Davisville, Bayview) Incredible Indian food, beautiful decor, looks really classy in there, but you can wear almost anything there. GREAT prices! and the food is INCREDIBLE! Try out the Tandori Sampler (feeds 2 people) and don't forget the NAAN (YUM!)
Japanese: Sooooo many Japanese restaurants in town and soo many are great! But Killah Monki and myself hit ECHO SUSHI (about 2 blocks north of Davisville, on yonge st. Just south of St. Louis Bar & grill) ALL U CAN EAT SUSHI!!! YA! YA!! :eyes: They give you sheets and you write the exact # of items that you want. There's over 100 things to choose from.. even non-japanese food like steaks... prices are $12.99-$19.99 (depending on the day of the week)
Alright, I'm getting hungry now...lol:p time to get some work done.. there's my top 3 rice restaurant picks for Toronto ...
PEACE

I've only had them 3 times...twice they were from a store, and once they were homemade. The home made ones I liked...the store bought ones...yuck! I think it turned me off of cabbage rolls all together. |

Ben Thang (sp) moved to Hespeller Rd... It is good for Pho, but I hate the greasy spring rolls they serve...Pho Dau Bo is much better.
Fried Bananas? Isn't that served at sushi places? I just had it for the first time a few weeks ago.
Speaking of sushi... There is only one sushi place in k-w right? In the University plaza...?
And yes...Cameron Seafood...yummy, now I have theitch for Dim Sum...need to score that this weekend!!! |
Fried bananas at sushi places? No... I've been to Japan and I've never had fried banana. They do that in Thailand/cambodia/phillipines I think.
As for Sushi/Japanese, you've got:
Seoul Soul (university plaza... a korean restaurant that also serves sushi... not that great).
Charlie's Lunch Box (bento, etc, pretty good)
Mr. Sushi (the secondary university plaza on the east side of phillip street, good sushi, haven't tried anything else)
Mirage (same plaza... more korean I think... not as good)
Yummiyaki (on Northfield, just east of the expressway, good)
Ichiban (somwhere on Albert? Never been...)
Taka Japanese Restaurant (on bleams, good but expensive)
Sora (I think on Weber, near fairview mall-ish, never been) |
