jasmine won't do? and wow, that's a lot of barley. but i'll try it. what kind or rice would you suggest? or is jap/kor enough to go by? don't forget, i'm in white bread land, SERIOUS white bread land. but i have wegmans here, so i can get most ethnic foods.
what do you usually do, as far as mixing veggies/meat with rice? |

Jasmine has a different flavour. Even chinese rice don't work.
Only cuz I like steam rice.
I dunno what your store carry, but look for round white rice.
As for mixing veggies and meat, are you talking about cooking rice and mixing or separate stir fry? |

Fried rice:
- make rice on the side
- fry meat(chicken, beef, shrip, pork) in some oil and green chillies
- add small cut up veggies(i use green/red peppers, onions, snow peas, carrots, corn...)
- add salt, pepper, soya sauce, chilli power, oyster sauce, and a tiny bit of rice vinigar
- fry
- add some fried egg if you want
- add rice, more soya sauce, fry
-garnish with (chopped, uncooked) green onions and cilantro. |

this was done before for korean BBQ several years ago, and for dim sum too. |
