Brazil disagrees with America's Puritanical approach to sex issues and has lowered its AIDS rates substantially as a result.

And BTW, don't you find it curious that countries with large Roman-Catholic populations, such as Canada, Spain, and Brazil, are actually much more liberal and open sexually, than the NON-Catholic (Protestant) USA? I mean gay marriage, condoms, sex, and such. I mean, wouldn't you expect that the Protestants would be more progressive, historically speaking, then the traditional Catholics? |

You have made all this threads in the past months on how religion is destroying this country, and your full of really. You seem to have this great knowllege of foreign countries and all you do is bitch on how they are better then the U.S. Last time I checked, the U.S controls this world. Religion this, religion that. Give it up man. This country was found on Protestant values, and its that, that it has kept us so strong to this day. People like you that want to change laws and make it more liberal, you want gay rights, etc etc. It worries me a bit, but it hasnt happend yet, so I dont care. Even if it does, im sure I wont come in here and bitch like a litle girl. |

see, thats just not true. look at your country; what forms the core of its principles, religion or liberal democratic freedoms and self interest? damn i get sick and tired of people confusing religious issues. oh, religion did this or that when theyre almost always non sequiturs.
and in the modern day united states its religious doctrine that is blinding you to opportunities such as stem cell research. the ultimate irony being your 1st amendment right to religious freedom, yet people use that religious freedom to dictate to others how they live their lives.
btw, whats wrong with hating ones country? its only idiots like yourself that feel the need to embrace nationalistic sentiment that prevents any chance of improving or better understanding one's nation. |
