what do u think of legal prostitution?

so it was on the news again ....for u european u maybe know that in germany prostitution is legal and brothels are a common thing ....so as u know in next june it's the world cup in germany so they were showing that next to the berlin stadium they built like a big brothel very luxurous with sauna and swimming pool and bedrooms for the future customers .....the owner of the brother was saying a lot of supporters will probably go to have some fun and that all this future money will be good as well for berlin's city they also interviewed a prostitute ( very ugly one but had a nice body) :p and she said indeed she was paying taxes had welfare and it was good that here in germany prostitution is legal .....right now there are around 400,000 prostitutes in germany (not all of them are voluntaries) but everyday in germany 1 million of customers go see the prostitutes (when u think germany has like 82 millions of people !!!):eyes: but what do u think?
in france brothels have been closed decades ago but some debates are still on to see if we should open them up again.....
im pretty mixed up actually ....of course it would be a good idea if prostitutes were having welfare in case they get sick or ....and everything but it's hard for me to believe that some girls become prostitutes by choice ....im sure it exists but to me it's a minority ....to me most of girls become prostitutes because of networks ..mafia and pimps ...so i just wanted your opinion about legal prostitution |

Perhaps lightly regulated to prevent STDs or other potential negatives, but I don't think it should be illegal. |

I'm fine with prostitution being completely legal, as long as there are safe-guards in place to promote safe sex. It could reduce current moral stigma in society to a more acceptable level. In Canada and Japan, companionship services (where if sex happens, things led to it but weren't known prior to the parties encountering) are more popular than in USA and people see it more as A-OK.
So, yes make it legal and regulate it with proper safe-guards like any other industry/business! |

| It's somewhat hypocritical to legalize the adult entertainment industry while outlawing prostitution. No one's rights are being affronted, the government has no business legislating morality. |

Right. Like Bill MAHER once spoke about this: They don't have any right to legislate taste. This is the same problem with marriage laws: either give the special legal benefits to _everyone_ or _no-one_ at all. Don't choose A over B just because of your own tastes or even what's common. |

Absolutely. Prostitution should be legal and it's everybody's own business what they do sexually.
A very simple argument showing why it must be legal is this: If you work in the porn industry, the actors there f*ck for money, and nobody prosecutes them. So why should your average Joe be prosecuted?
The only instances in which it must be illegal is pimping (i.e. forcing somebody to engage in this) or where otherwise some law is broken (e.g. underage). But what two consenting adults do is their own business and nobody else's.
How ironic that the "Land of the Free" fails to grasp this very simple concept :rolleyes: but hey, there's always Europe! :D
BTW, in Germany and some other European countries, many wives willingly send their husbands to prostitutes (e.g. if the husband needs more frequent sex and they're not in the mood). Also many youngsters lose their virginity to prostitutes. A German high-schooler once told me that was true of all the guys in his class. |

| i remenber i was in secondary schoo and a guy older than me he was like 16 at this time told me it was like a ritual to go see a prostitute for their first time ....and he actually went to see a prostitute for his first time .....well if u ask me it kinda sucks but whatever everybody is different right? |

| im fine with the legal prostitution as long as chix dont get forced into that industry due to there being no other oppurtunities for them, cuz that amnounts to sex slaves despite the fact that they get paid. |

one needs money to live, it is easy to picture a situation where nobody except a pimp will hire a woman, or a person who desparetely needs money who has no other way to get it enter the sex trade.
just saying you have to be careful that the people who work these jobs have other options if it is not their prefered line of work, I'm sure you've seen monster before. |

From a girl's point of view it's weird, but females will never understand certain needs that guys have. |
