Of course I've had fun getting piss drunk jumping up and down to certain trance DJs I dont even like much (Think KvA), but when it gets down to business, when I want to hear a serious set of good music, I have strong preferences as to who/what/where...as I'd expect any huge fan too. |
+ 1
Doombot does not make good arguments and doesn't realize the people who do analyze the music more seriously still do have fun at club nights where there is ty music.

oh of course, i very much go for the music when going out alot of the time. and if it was DJs playing like morph did all the time then i'd get a bit tired of it, too. just sometimes it can be nice to forget about the technial stuff & just be glad you're having a good time with mates etc... like you say with KvA
as a matter of fact simon patterson played a set the same night as morph, full of stuff i didn't know, mixed & structured absolutely perfectly, which i enjoyed even more. i don't think it's a case of one extreme or the other... whilst i like to think the DJ is putting SOME effort into things and not taking everyone as a bunch of clueless drugged up clubbers who'll dance to anything, it also annoys me when people get too anal about it and dismiss others who find it easier to enjoy themselves
i'm rambling now, must stop :wtf: |

Hey that's great man. So you actually have less broad tastes than me. Thought that would be the case. So much for "the most open minded person here" eh? So how about you stop jumping to patronising conclusions about everyone in order to add gravitas to whatever argument you were shovelling when I last posted, before you capitulated on the grounds of being utterly , yeah? |

wow, this thread is almost as entertaining as HBO Boxing After Dark.. for anyone who is not sure what i am talking about, that's two millionaires beating each other in the head for more millions.. hehehe.. :D
but seriously, i appreciate andy moor's productions. he has had his hand in many "classic" productions in my opinion. i cannot say i can rate him as a DJ though, as i have never heard him spin live.. |

So how does that list show a not so broad genre of music? You blind? I probably have way more other genres to choose from I just dont sit there and figure out sub genres of genres and sub genres of those genres like the tools here for EDM. |

Maybe I am more open minded than a lot here |
Which was a direct implication of the people you were arguing with (otherwise it was irrelevant bollocks).
And you went to the trouble of listing every decade of rock, you dolt, so don't tell me you didn't try and big up your list. Oh, and progressive is just a type of house, while psy/goa is trance. You were saying? |

I didnt go through any trouble, trust me. If I was serious in what I was typing I would have named specific genres to make your dumb ass happy. Instead, your mind is boggled by the list of music I wrote out and you STILL continue to remark about it. Go you, you winner you!!!!!!! |

Because a lot of people here go to clubs as if it is their profession and that's not a joke. Instead of going to dance, meet new people, get drunk if thats what you like, and have fun... they go to see how technically skilled the dj is and listen out for clean tight mixing and superb track selection. Pretty much defeats the purpose of going to a club and having some good ol fun doesnt it? And those are the very same people on here who like to bash djs over and over again for simply no reason but to make themselves feel better in sounding like they know what they are talking about. That is why its hard for them to go to a Tiesto or Armin show and have fun and it boggles their mind why THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS go to see Tiesto and Armin and have a blast! Oh well, sucks to be those people is how I look at it. :) |
This is the truth right here. ^^^ |
