Anelka to Bolton for £8 million. I'm delighted, we've finally got a man who can put the ball in the net AND has the pace (sorry Jared) as for the downsides, well we'll see how it goes, but this is good business for the club.
Bolton also making enquiries for Steed Malbranque but west ham are also interested. |

I am interested in seeing how Bolton do this season, and with Anelka I see them doing well, we play Bolton on 30 September.
Cannot wait myself. |

Didn't think Anelka would cost that much. I think he'll be a good player for Bolton but the fee seems a little excessive for somebody who hasn't exactly set the world alight in the Turkish league. I think he's an excellent player on his day but that seems like too much money. Time will tell, I guess.
Real Madrid have said they are looking to loan out Woodgate and give him a season to prove his fitness at another club. Newcastle, Liverpool and Boro were linked, although Benitez has come out and said it's news to him. With Real paying a portion of his wages I'd be more than happy to take him on loan for a season, it's a low risk move and he is an absolutely brilliant defender. |

lol its amazing how different milans strike force seems without shevchenko.
I reckon they will struggle for a top 4 finish this season given the points deduction and aging players. |
