in 2006 - I'm not talking about the OG Stick Up Kids...I'm talking about in these days...

Stash (graffitti artist) just released his Nike Air Max Stash verion of the Air Force 1 and Air Max 95 @ Recon/Nort in NYC. People camped out for these sneakers for almost 3 days prior to release. There were reports that kids leaving with the sneakers were robbed in nearby train stations.

It happens people, trust me, I'm part of a large sneaker collector community (solecollector via JDAT) and the discussion has grown rather large with kids robbing kids of their heat (sneakers)...

it still happens...

well, since those kicks are rare, the instances of robbery must also be on the infrequent side; the days of: "yo son, what size are those kicks?" -- "uhm, 10-and-a-half?" -- " it, i'll grow into them so run ya " -- are long gone...

i remember for about a month in 1989 my principal fordabe the wearing of starter jackets and signature hats 'cause too many heads were getting vic'd =)

In 1989 i wore jordan reissue infrared IV's which didn't fit me but i bought them anyways cuz they were HEAT. I made my dad buy'em for me, they were $75 (which is alot for kids and the value of money at the time), Jordan Infrared IV's, I wore them to school and some kid told me to give them up, I was a sz 6 squeezed into a 5.5 and this kid told me to give'em up...i didn't and he didn't do to me, he must of been atleast 11-13yrs old at the time, I was 7-8...i run my lol

that is embarassing...people stealing other people's sneakers. i haven't gotten robbed yet. i do say "yet" because i do believe some day someone will rob me...why? because i'm a pessimist and i think a lot of people in this world have gone to sh**.
