I DO approve this thread. Cale's right, this thread is gonna be interesting, and it's already turning out that way. Unfortunately I'm involved, but it's a hassle I can live with from some quality entertainment.

If history serves me right.. (and please correct me if i'm wrong):
Iran survived the Iran VS Iraq war when in fact Iraq had superior intellgience, superior firepower, better trained military etc.. by using massive human waves to fight them off.
Iraq used chemical weapons on the Iranians and yet the human waves did not stop. Approx 1 million Iranians died in that war and yet Iraq did not prevail.
An all out strike on Iran would cause massive retaliation by Iran towards Israel. Yes Israel has superior firepower, superior intelligence, better trained military etc.. but can they fend off 1 Million zelous Iranians?
The only result would be death and destruction on both sides, pre-emtive strikes, war, threats.... all solve nothing.

Ok, I agree it might not that far off, but it's hardly a topic that's going to be welcomed - look at the posts in the thread insofar, it's a bit much, don't you think? I'm holding my personal opinion on the situation aside because I think it's more important not to go out of your way to offend people. That being said, there are people here that have strong feelings with regards to such topics and it's pretty obvious someone's going to get offended. I'm not trying to pull some "can't we all just get along" bull here, but this is just begging for trouble. |
