I love the stuff Digweed played last year. This year is kinda boring me. Sasha.. blah. Zabs... :conf:
I dont like the strictly house djs either. And Dust... I just dont see it happening. :(
Edit: Only time I like the house is when Im dancing with my girl. it is more danceable and she LOVES it. :p |

Howells is the ing man, his sets are so much more energetic than Sasha, i see no comparison between the two. |

Actually Howells plays alot of tracks that Sasha plays. That is one comparison but what separates Howells from Sasha is the genre bending. Howells will play Ambient, Deep House, Progressive House, Trance, Tech-House, Electro, Techno, Minimal and whatever else he can find in a set and makes it work over the course of a long set. Generally the tracks that Sasha plays over the course of a night are similar in nature. You either like them or don't. That's why he's hit or miss for people during a set as opposed to Howells where there will be something for everyone. It has nothing to do with energy because certainly Sasha drops tracks that are off the walls and Howells often starts things off very subdued and brings the energy up and back down and so on. Right now though I'd say Howells is the number 1 dj in the world in my book :) |

| Yea even at the last S&D show, i was liking Diggers and his beats but as soon as sasha took over the vibe and tempo just went downhill. Im not hating on Sasha, he's just not my cup of tea and i'll leave it at that;) |

Beautiful driving music though. I'm playing a radio set that Sasha did and its great for what I'm doing. But in a club, I want the energy to be brought to another level and he doesn't do that. |

He brings plenty of energy, that hasn't been his problem. Not playing trance at 135 bpms plus or not playing cheesy epic female vocals does not mean that theres a lack of energy. Listen to tracks like Trentemoller - Beta Boy and Leon Boiler - My Precious (Ozgur Can Remix).....tracks sasha has played that are about 125-128 bpms that have more energy than ANY trance song armin has been playing lately

Never did I make any of those suggestions. He just plays boring tracks. Like I just said, I dont know where you are getting the idea I thought 135MPB+ is the only way to get energy out of a set. Hence why I prefer Digweed over him. Sasha is just boring to me and a lot of others and thats all there is to it.
Maybe if he got more involved with the audience then his computer screen he would notice his audience is just standing there and he should switch the type of tracks he is playing. :rolleyes: |
