Did you miss the links I posted as well? You are right, Zack runs a show at Club Love, he knows more then the label that printed this track.

Grow up dude.

Edit: I love how you and a lot of others love to throw in how long they listened to EDM or what they do in the scene to justify how little they really know.

Lemme know if ya need more links buddy. Maybe a pair of ears to go with it.

Steve May produces progressive...there is a differenece between progressive, progressive house and progressive trance.

Re-read the review of the track on resident advisor. The guy admits he is so far removed from trance music of any kind that he doesn't really know how to classify it. Baroque is a progressive label for the most part, and Steve May / Luke Chable are progressive producers.

haha. Way back when you referenced your avatar you used the Baroque cover as an example of the stuff you play and then proceeded to say that was progressive trance. I just thought it was odd that you chose a Baroque record (not a trance label) to like show people what kind of tracks you play. There are 'elements' of trance in Blend Forty 3, but its not a progressive trance record. No need to freak out over it though.

exactly. Progressive aka 'Prog' is a sub genre in itself. Prog is NOT the same as progressive trance or progressive house, although they do share similarities....

Well, as far as how it sounds, it is close to trance... just a more "progressive" flow to it. hahaha i dunno... :p

though there is music i'd call i'd call progressive trance only to describe the way that it's interepreted by my brain relative to other progressive house, there is arguably no such genre as progessive trance! those two words are just descriptive and they are so vague that they could be describing the hottest sasha or digweed fave vinyl from june 1999. or how about markus shulz? and how about something that is pretty much just trance, like "as the rush comes" or purple haze - adrenaline? all of them can be called progressive trance.... why? these are just different ways of using the two words to describe completely different things. i think this proves that there is no one genre called progressive trance and the usage of these words to describe music in general and particularly good music should be avoided.

as far as i'm concerned progressive house is the only needed term with the word progressive or 'prog' meaning this for edm discussion purposes.... most stuff that needs to be differentiated from 'prog' or 'progressive house' is the twinkleprog that we don't even need to talk about.

This is exactly what I was saying. As far as the tracks Lunasea posted I actually consider them melodic Progressive House. They're not trance but contain a housey beat with trancey elements. Alot of Matthew Dekay's tracks can be classified in that way as well ie. "If I Could Fly" and Steve Porter - "Definite Form"
