It isn't well produced at all. It sounds very ragged and the vocals stick out by a mile. The synths are also far too glitchy for such a poppy track. And it's ing awful: even as a pop song it lacks a well crafted hook. G&D can't compete with the professional pop writers who churn out one catchy hit after another, no matter how hard they try. I can see what it's clearly aiming to be, but it clearly fails to be anything but a trainwreck of sounds. |

And who cares if itīs produced like you think it is? If someone likes that, whereīs the problem?
Talking about G&D and TTD, Iīve seen MANY negative posts bashing the song really hard, much more than the positive ones, so I donīt know where you guys got the feeling itīs overrated? |

Bashing G&D is (was) a trend, so I guess so many people keep saying TTD sucks big time just because some respected member here posted that. Itīs a hype turned insideout.
Why do you guys think you have the right/ability/power to say whatīs "officialy" well/badly produced? Do you think youīre blessed or something? |

but I "officialy" use comparison as my right/ability/power to say whats well/badly produced.

Iīm not taking anything seriously, just love to talk about music.
My point is: How can happen that people like a track which is badly produced? Track can be cheesy, but still, if it works on the dancefloor it canīt be produced poorly. |

... every single time I browse these forums I see people making statements about music they like... and people bashing them for their taste of music...
then the attacked people try to justify or bash those who attacked them.
it's like a perpetual Tom & Jerry-game.
does this make sence? I guess no. 
people, you don't have to defend your taste...just leave the statement as it is...it's fine. |

Because there shouldn't be any positive ones. It really, really sucks and people who enjoy it are either kidding themselves, have found some irony in it or want to find out what good music actually sounds like. I had to write something about it and listening to it twice in a row gave me a no-bull cracking headache. It's like injecting vodka into your frontal lobe. |

ttd i liked the first time i heard it but after that it got more annoying for everytime, its far from well produced IMO, g&d has done much better stuff.
for me almost everything from James Holden is overrated & also Mark Norman |

I'm going to say that I love Tracking Treasure Down, especially the vocals.
My vote for 'overrated track' is Veracocha - Carte Blanche. |
