Since you're doing quite some work on this thread I did your request and some additional clips.

I even did my favorite softsynth vs my favorite hardsynth: synth1 vs virus TI.

First things first, you asked a longer clip:

Type : pad / lead / bass
Synth : Virus TI
Clip : Dezma - Red Tears (arangement phase, I know the kick is too loud :) - virus parts isolated solo)

Synth1 vs Virus TI Airwave battle:

Type : pad-lead
Synth : Virus TI, then Synth1
Clip : Rank1 - Airwave

In addition to everyman's clip :)
I admit everyman is closer to the original, it's more of a synth1 showcase:

Synth1
Type: Lead
Synth: Synth1
Clip: Sasha - Xpander

The TI sounds good but I've found that synth1 was closer to the real thing's character, even if there is a release (amp or filter enveloppe, I can't point it) that is too short.

You also already know that I like your Xpander patch !

And even if fr0st's one doesn't really sounds identical to Sasha's, it emits a really cool analog feeling :thepirate .

thanks for the taking the time to make the clip dezma... i find that synth1 is capable of emitting that analog feel, good job there on the virus vs synth1 :)

hey, everyman... you have good reproduction skills, salute!

Sounds very authentic, really great. BTW how does the Supersaw V1 sound compared to V2?

Here's a couple more using Rapture.

DeZmA posted the Rank1 - Airwave lead that I just love. I had to try doing it in Rapture to see if I could.

Type : Lead
Synth : Rapture (Cakewalk)
Clip :Rank 1 - Airwave

Here is a gated effect I did with Rapture:

Type : Lead
Synth : Rapture (Cakewalk)
Clip : Trance Gate 9

Enjoy...

Thanks for the feedback.

Here is another fresh clip : [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Bass, FX, Leads : FM7
a reverbed Kickdrum, and that's all

Quick question. I was just thinking....I know, that is probably my first problem :). Are we allowed to post melodies from copyrighted songs?

The Cream Enjin
The Cream Enjin proudly presents the V-SYNTH XT!

NB. cobbled this together very quickly...sounds a bit 'off' but gives you some idea of the V-Synth XT. will record some more sounds if people are interested.

You cheated!!! You added all those cool effects. Not fair! :whip: :D

Seriously, that sounded phenomenal! I think that is the cleanest sound I have heard yet. I'm going to try and add some similar effects in my Rapture patch to see what it sounds like. Was that laser sweep sound (for lack of a better term) done using a resolution adjustment with the LP filter, or was it a separate patch completely?

I would like to hear more of what that beast can do. How much do they go far? Better yet; don't tell me. I don't want to know. :eyespop:
