Seriously, that sounded phenomenal! I think that is the cleanest sound I have heard yet. I'm going to try and add some similar effects in my Rapture patch to see what it sounds like. Was that laser sweep sound (for lack of a better term) done using a resolution adjustment with the LP filter, or was it a separate patch completely?
I would like to hear more of what that beast can do. How much do they go far? Better yet; don't tell me. I don't want to know. :eyespop: |
Hehe. That was all V-Synth and only V-Synth, on a single patch using the built in effects and yes i did tweak the res. |

For the pads and lead i used the same synth, for the bass i used v-station, 3xOsc for the side lead.
I believe that i had the filter on all sustain, with a decent amount of Release, Reso turned @ like 11 o'clock. The EQ is what really does the trick though :).
I'll make sure I contribute to the Showcase more. |

well... i've just run a few quick check on the links and it seems that there's a broken link. just a kind reminder, if you wanna share your clip with us and you wish to use your own file server, please do not remove the clip (or at least send me a pm regarding the file change or whatsoever). i would advice you to use the public putfile.com account for your file hosting. help me out on this, ya? thanks all!
and thanks for all the contributers, i'm sure we all learned something here. and let's share some thoughts and ideas on the sounds made here too.

it's the same patch that i did for the tiesto clip and i'm very glad that it sounds sweet too as a pad.

ah yeahh... just when i was about to disagree about vanguard, i gave it another try and i came up with this cool analog sounding with it. it took me quite a while to figure out this... and it doesn't sound good with all melodies...

David Adams - You da man when it comes to Rapture - You got some amazing sounds going on there, well done m8!!
Do you have any phat bass patches or really chunky leads? I just cant wrap my head around the synth. Need something a little bit stronger than your normal swooshy pads and leads. Thanks if you can help man |
