I detest baseball. with passion. I can't stand Basketball, even when 76ers made into finals with Lakers - I couldn't watch it, even though entire city was on fire.
The only sport I love is Football - NFL FOOTBALL. And for those morons who think that American sports are not popular - check your facts.
There's NFL Europe with many countries playing it and many NFL pro's are drafted from them. Jake Delhomme rings a bell?
Oh, and Baseball is popular outside of US too.

p.s. I'm watching soccer - but only exciting teams with powerhouses like brazil, england, germany, spain, portugal, and yes... ukraine. and yes US.

edit: I know how it sounds but I'm not a hypocrite - I don't care for WC, I care for exciting games. I know that watching a team like Brazil will be interesting, or it would give me great pleasure to see the snot kicked out of Iran.

| Why are people getting upset in here? Just because most of the world loves football doesn't mean everyone has to or it's wrong not to. As I said earlier, maybe if I had played it growing up my opinion would be different but it is what it is. I'm sure people have valid reasons for not giving a about soccer, whether you agree with them or not does not make them right or wrong. |

Sure, it's just a sport. Actually, I don't watch it too much either, it's not like I'm a huge fan... But there have been books written on how it explains the world. For example, there's a book called "How Soccer Explains the World," just so you know that there are some curious cultural implications.
