I'de be abit worried about the equipment unless you had insurance or it was a proper dj box so people couldnt just wonder around them with drinks.
I just had my CDJ800's stolen actually this morning out the car and am hoping I can get a claim on the insurance somehow :/ :whip: |

one of the black guys that was there asked me when you were gonna start playing hip hop and I was like uh sometime next week probably. I think they left shortly after. |

What I do when I am playing a "long" set, about 4-5 h.
I start aout with some hip-hop /rap songs to "warm" up the crowd, then I play som vocal/hard dance mania tracks. and by then there is people on the dance floor, warmed up and ready to dance to trance!
and I play about 2,5-3 h of trance.
Almost no complains at all... In a place with a small scene I play a little of both! |

thats a really good idea! At my club we only have 3.5 hours to play..and I usually have guest DJ's. But if I played alone the entire 3.5 hours...I could play hip hop the first 30 minutes, and then some cheese for the next hour and then bang out the last 2 hours of stuff that I really like. |
