PvD back @ Roseland in November (pg. 10)

I'm not sure how many PVD's I did this year... Hmm.. Roseland, Nation on my Bday, Central Park both nights, and Philly... so 4 so far...
My ticket has been clipped to my lamp for ages now.. so I'm in even if I go by myself :)
I love Pauls sets; I like the techy stuff that people seem to hate; it's fun to dance to (also I'm kinda 'newb so I don't know the "good ole days") Watching him, he obviously approaches this more professionally than all the other dj's; sometimes this looks like he's just clockin' in and goin to work; when he starts to have fun he starts looking like the guy who just left the office and pounded 3 shots of tequilla. I like tequilla paul better. But at the same time, I think that turning a party, or hobbie, or extra cirricular activity into a lucrative full time profession, or profitable business is pretty sweet; and props to maintaining self discipline. |

dani, it took me longer than you to become an ex-pvd fan...after his last show at roxy 2005 (which wasnt too bad, much better than his Summerstage 2005 set) for some reason I haven't wanted to hit up pvd events this past year..
im being dragged to this event by a few friends from Cali who are coming down to NYC..i figure well i might as well go and check out Roseland as a venue. but other than that, and esp after hearing reviews from Summerstage, i really wasn't planning on going... |
