3 reasons to attend PVD @ Central Park (pg. 2)

just go!

even a subpar pvd beats an armin in my book. maybe i'm just a fan of his pounding relentless beats, but yea, he always does it for me. even last years (which a lot of people seemed to dislike). some memorable tracks that i didn't expect to hear was transatlantic (andy moor remix) and superfly (andy moor remix), both were sick :D .

most recently saw him in the early summer down at nation in d.c. and that was definitely one of my favorites i've heard from him.

If you don't go we'll make you eat your parents. :whip:

I originally started out as a TA attending an AvB @ Spirit last March, but a mishap occured and I completely missed his set, making PvD at Summerstage my first official event. I saw tons of TA's there but I don't think I met any that day. If you don't plan on finding us, post up your pic somewhere. We'll find you :p .

Oh, and as for PvD, I've found a lot of his sets to be hit or miss every now and then, with a few hours of hotness, a few hours of luke warmness, and another few hours of hotness. I enjoyed his last NYC set all the way through though. I don't think I've missed a single one in NYC since my first though so he must be doing something right :wtf: . Heck, I'm scheduled for 2 root canals around then and I'll still be there  .

the only reason to go is that I see familier faces from TA and other I met at Armin Van Buuren nite some weeks ago.

But Paul Van Dyk has been really odd and just not himself on what he plays and aslo the price for this even sucks ass.

Also it is in fact often that these made evens that are outdoor always happen every year now since they pocket money but it only happens around summertime.

It's not like PvD has a residency at a local club and you have the opportunity to see him numerous times at the same venue throughout the year. Whether you are a huge PvD fan or just a fan of EDM this is an event you cannot not go to; especially if you've never seen him or gone to a show in the park. Personally, I'm going because I've never been to Rumsey Park and I've never been to a true outdoor EDM event. At the worst you'll have a story and that's always a plus :D

hehehe. yes i AM going...tho what day im not sure yet.

joeyyyy *pout* -- i *did* PM the new TA earlier today to persuade him/her to come out to meet all of us. for the sake of friendship..that *should* count for something, luv. <3

and yes, PVD does have his good moments, just not so consistently...

PVD @ Roxy in November 2005................ I seem to remember you bouncing all over the place with me of course.
But I understand as he has disappointed me as well on occasion.

Yes she will..

But it seems that alot of PVD fans are not liking that he has started to play electro-house(sped up of course)

I love the fact that he is injecting different styles of EDM from Trance to Electro to Breaks(his set at WMC in Space).

No other trance DJ is doing that, well except for Armin who, for the last 2 years, ALWAYS seems to follow the same path as PVD. They are the two Trance DJ's that play closest in style. That's why, IMO, Armin's sets have become more enjoyable as of late.

yeaaaaaaa right. how far apart is ur apt. cuz man i got 2 root canals also a lil surgery at the same time and i was facked up and swollen for ever, couldn't eat and very painfull. i doubt you'll even want to go with the pain that causes, (idk if it was the rootcanal alone or surgery but they both were not enjoyable lol)

two root canals won't be that bad, i've had my fair share of dental work and was still able to get up and go to work without painkillers.

WRONGGGGG

Marco V and DJ Tiesto have been laying down speed up electro house which has taken a brutal turn for the worst, I am especially disppointed with Marco V doin this who was the dark techy-trance DJ. Don't only think Paul Van Dyk is this rampage of a change elctro-house because theres other trance DJ's who've been going down road too or changed styles. Sad

i could've swore ferry was doin his electro thing for a while... and armin doesn't play that much at all. i really only heard a small handful of tracks in his entire brooklyn bridge sets..

as for pvd.... since the first time i've seen him live at exit in 2002, i've almost always heard a techno hour, or electro, and tribal beats. when is this something new that he does? i really dont know.. lol.
