But it seems that alot of PVD fans are not liking that he has started to play electro-house(sped up of course)

I love the fact that he is injecting different styles of EDM from Trance to Electro to Breaks(his set at WMC in Space).

No other trance DJ is doing that, well except for Armin who, for the last 2 years, ALWAYS seems to follow the same path as PVD. They are the two Trance DJ's that play closest in style. That's why, IMO, Armin's sets have become more enjoyable as of late.
ferry...
sot
as i say

shut the up and just go..u might have a good time, u might not..worth a shot in my book ;)

as for pvd.... since the first time i've seen him live at exit in 2002, i've almost always heard a techno hour, or electro, and tribal beats. when is this something new that he does? i really dont know.. lol.

Exactly. Pvd has been dropping like that for years. Hence the essential Mix at Coumbiahalle 2002: Antiloop - Trespasser. C'mon

And yes I did overlook Ferry and Marco V. Maybe Marco V was did it before PVD but Ferry as well as Tiesto were after PVD.

What I'm saying is that he has started dropping electro house. Like Abel Ramos - Electro Fun, The Drill - The Drill, Don Diablo - Down The Drain.

I have still yet to hear Tiesto, Armin, or Ferry drop either of those tracks in a set. They may have done that already, I just have not heard or seen them in a set of theirs.

Actually I just had 1 root canal yesterday and yeah, I'm in a world of pain right now :wtf: ! My dentist referred to it as "root canal therapy" WTF!? Do all dentists say that? He gave me these HUGE horse pill pain killers though. They work very well :toothless . I don't want to mix them with anything either, so hopefully all this will aid my efforts at sobriety :happy2: .

If I actually am in more pain than I can take though, I'll probably just chill in back on the bleechers and listen to the music. Mmmmmmm. Music *drools*

3 to go

A.) PVD is currently (and has been for a long time) among the top voted DJs in the world... if you have an interest in trance, this is a good place to start

B.) You'll probably meet a lot of people from TA - post a pic of yourself in your sig/avatar so we know what you look like - someone will recognize you and say hello.

C.) This is an outdoor event with tons of room (unlike many club events) - if you don't like being croweded with tons of sweaty people, simply move to the back - the sound will still be good.

3 resons not to go

a.) This is an all ages event, and forgive me underage people, but these events tend to draw out a few more of the E-tard types than I like to see... As I recall, at SS last year there weren't that many, so it might not be a problem.

b.) PVD can sometimes not put down the best sets - that being said, I think that many of us here (myself included) at NYTA are quite spoiled in the talent we get to see... I have friends in the Pacific Northwest who would kill to have a line-up (over the period of a year) that we get in a weekend.

c.) Tickets are $40... to me (even though I'm a poor-ass grad student) this doesn't seem like a lot to pay - some think it is.

All that being said, I'm going to both days... maybe I'll see you there.
