thank you to all for providing color regarding summerstage. since i won't recognize the difference between a good set and a bad set it appears to be a great opportunity to see pvd live, hang outside and make new friends with those who have a similar taste in great music.

i'm anticipating attending both nights and very much look forward to meeting some of you.

are there any strict admission policies i should know of (for those of you who have attended the kentucky derby)? patdowns, wands, bag searches, etc.?

Expect to be searched, both pockets and bags. Security at Armin in Brooklyn 2 weeks ago (also done by Made Events) was pretty high (more than Summerstage last year). I don't know if that was because it was a different venue and the Brooklyn Parks people had stricter rules or if that's the way Made is doing all events.

Bottom line, don't be stupid.

thank God...trying to figure out the logic in your posts is like trying to explain the difference between the sets that PVD and Sasha spin to a deaf person

well, there is a BIG difference about being stuck in a rut for a few months....vs. a few years. plus, prydz has NEVER gone stale, so you can't use him in your comparison.

you can continue to defend pvd, whatever floats your boat. :stongue:

Sorry pryds and all the mafia are just the flavor of the moment give it a few years and they will be "COMPLETELY" forgotten while pvd will remain(though i'm sure his popularity is on steady decline).

The mafia guys as you call them may be very talented engineers and what not. But their music lacks any feel what so ever. Like i said the electro is the flavor of the moment. I fell into the track briefly but then I actually sad down with some nice headphones and listen to it, and it was boring. Sure it may sound good in a club, but is that what most those teen girls say when they go to the hiphop clubs etc? Is dance music following the same path as main stream hiphop?

To this day i can put in GU13 or GU9 or any of Oakenfolds cd's in my home or car stereo systems and listen to them and enjoy them. While i could equally go insane at a club. None of the music produced by these boys has any lasting appeal. Comon' does anyone remember aftermath? I don't see dj's still playing that. But just a year or two ago i heard Digweed play Sasha - Ohmna that song is from 1998 and ya know what it sounded fresh as ever.

I remember hearing sasha play PVD's seven ways album when i was like 15 or 16 at some rave in orlando. It was truly something special. I can't say i have had any of these moments with the mafia boys.

Point being PVD will always have a place in my heart(though it may be buried deep, very deep, very very deep). They more than likely will not.
