One thing I have noticed is, if you're not good at socializing with other males, you will not be good at talking to girls either. Meaning you're love shy.
What are you so afraid of?
It's not that hard, a "hi" and a smile is all you need to get in in most cases.
There is just no routine way to do it after that, you have to walk on your own two feet. Nobody has figured out the human brain enough to make a fail-proof guide to ensuring that you get the girl.
It's probably not just girls, it's probably social skills in general. In this case, you need to socialize more. Yes, it is that easy. |

If I only had the money. My whole focus is 1. do well in school and 2. save money. College isn't cheap. I was thinking about living on a campus next year..at a college I was going to go to, but I figured I would save a hell of a lot more money if I recruited and went to a school that is closer. And I have a dad with some disabilities and he would need me while my mom was at work. |

I should. Yeah it's a long story. I've tried to convince them to let me go to these clubs but they always say "detroit is a dangerous place to be by yourself". So it's not that they wont let me..they just don't want me going by myself. |

That's true. I do need to. But it's not like i'm not capable of socializing because I do socialize with people. My biggest thing isn't that I lack social skills (I wouldn't say I'm super outgoing either), but that step of hanging out with people. That's my problem... |

Yeah about 40 minutes or so away. Yeah it's not a safe place to be at 2:00 AM, but if only I had people to go with. It's been my frusturation for two years. I just haven't met anyone into the same music i'm into other than people on TA, but none so far that live in my area. I've told my parents I could go down there myself if I parked nearby and walked with a group of people, but even then...they are frickin' paranoid. I'd go alone but I hate to loose their trust either, because I think i've kept it pretty good all these years. |

I'm sorry dog, my bad...
well my advice is what Akridrot said, just work on your social skills little by little and be patient, it doesn't come overnight.
You'll get used to it and when you gain more experience reading people it will be a like a switch for you and you will automatically say the right things to a girl at the right moment... flirting can't be taught but it can be mastered, all you need is more practice. |
