Why do the heads controlling the media in the USA refuse to promote electronic music

Lets face it electronic music has no real mass media presence here in the states as there is no youth oriented marketing...
I come from europe where people can get the more accessible electronic stuff on day time radio (Dave Armstrong, Daft Punk e.c.t) and even some of the electro/progressive in the small hours.
Here in the states on the other hand this music never appears on tv/day time radio for people to access it.
I am sure if they would market it, people would buy it and listen to it.
But they don't.
Why is that?
Just curious what you guys think....

probably coz they are making too much money out of rap and other genres.

i think one of the problems also lies in the fact that a lot of electronic music is non-vocal based,

which i like but many people like singing along to their tunes.

because america doesnt like Disco or big gay black men. :thepirate

The same in Spain, but because there's a lot of bias towards some EDM genres.

Oh come on man more people in europe know about Detroit Techno than the people in the states.
The people in the states don't even know that scene exists.
Your average suburban american idiot thinks about ''eiffel 65s'' one hit wonder when he hears the word 'techno'.
You have Chicago and New York house artists selling far more records in Europe than they could ever dream to sell in the states.
Why?
Media coverage, plain and simple.
Find that video interview of Derrick May from Exit festival saying that they had such a hard time trying to find a ing sponsor for movement.
Yeah... find that interview and maybe you will see what I am talking about dip.

Kike or Quique are abreviations of Enrique, my name (like Tony for Anthony, or Beppe for Giuseppe...), so nothing related to the derogaroty jew term. In fact, now I remember 2 Israel users that usually see my posts, and none said anything.

If anyone has any problem, only has to PM me for the explanation.

i'm sorry if this comes across as a personal attack, i'm sure your motives are benign.

it still doesn't change the fact it is offensive.

i.e. quite a lot of foreign words are harmless in their native country but have offensive meanings in the english language,

and as this is an english forum, i believe offensive stuff should be banned,

anyways enough of this, i don't wanna spoil any more of the thread,

anybody agree with me on the non-vocal trance stuff i posted in my first reply??
