Therein lies the problem.

It's only natural for a super-conservative media to act this way. News is meant to be informative. When you start over-dramatizing everything with shiny american flags waving in the background with dramatic music and sensational titles, it becomes propaganda. It doesn't have to be straight lies to apply. Just the way in which information is portrayed is enough to significantly influence the listener's opinions (even though they don't notice it directly). It translates into decisions when they reach the polls, which later translates into constant fear, paranoia and wars that could be avoided. Every time the media mentions 911 needlessly (practically every day in the case of the big US stations), that fear is maintained and cultivated.

Theresa
So when the Americans bombed peoples homes and cities, killing thousands of people, while using the excuse that they had weapons of mass destruction (which have yet to be found,) that was ok, because they had to have known that they would be bombed sometime?

WTF?!

Many of those people were working, or sleeping, or living their lives, having nothing to do with the "terrorists" that so many of you fear, minding their own business. Children were maimed and killed; many lost everything they had. 110 Iraqis on a daily basis have their lives stripped from them, many of which have nothing to do with the bull terrorist crap that Americans are lead to believe.

More people have died at the hands of the U.S. Government because of their war based on fallacies.

I don't think that people shouldn't be upset about 9/11. I agree, it was a horrible thing to happen. However, there is a bigger miscarriage of justice happening right now, and I personally, am sick of people thinking they are the victims when their government is the victimizer.
