Do I personally know everyone on TA? No, but neither do you. The difference between you and me is I've been here much longer and made many more posts. If either of us is going to have an accurate idea of what people are like here, it's more likely to be me.
Oh, and as far as my "ignorance" goes, you can find out how old everyone is by looking in their profiles. Or even just glancing at the birthdays list. You'll find the average TA age is the mid-20s, and that's no different to the people you've tried to lump into a generalisation. Unless you want to claim that 60,000 people are lying about their birthdays and their experiences of clubbing they frequently recount, of course.

like i said, it was my opinion and obviosly like i suggested you have the same problem as many others on here that they cant accept other peoples opinions.

I think by, "any other form of edm," you mean, "the edm that I like," by which you mean, "the kind of trance that gets the most flak." You're just trying to justify your own narrow tastes by being general.

firstly i would like to say i think the message in what i was trying to say and how its been interpreted has been lost somewhere and to be honest im not too bothered in grammar or "structuring" posts on a messageboard unlike some people but no i didnt say everyone who likes psy is bad like you think. i was hinting towards a few certain posters on here who seem to be very quick to slag off anything that doesnt meet their tastes which one of them seems to be an uncompromising psy-fan who ive noticed on other boards.
as for the comment on having narrow tastes, i also think you misjudged what i was trying to say. as for justifying my prefered style of music well that is wrong and not the point i was trying to make.
i never said there was anything wrong with techno, i ment that its a bit wrong to generalise the health and state of trance as a genre while many "trance" djs are playing techno or "nu dutch techno" as one puts it, in their sets.
the point im trying to make there was that there are alot of people claming trance to be in a dire state when tracks that arent really even trance are being used to judge the genre as a whole.

with this comment to be honest, i do think that alot of people dont really understand what is actually trance when there are so many forms of EDM that is combined and pushed together with it.
unlike most other forms of EDM, a dj can incoporate elements of genres into a trance set and pull it off. but when someone like pvd starts playing techno, some people might assume that since pvd is labled as a trance dj and currently(although im thinking not for long) number 1 dj in the world that the music he is playing is trance.
the point im trying to make is that the Genre "trance" is too broad and too many elements of diffenrent genres are being mixed up within it and peoples ideas of what trance actually is and how healthy the scene is gets cloudy.
as for my tastes in music and my opinions on other genres than trance, im completely open minded and delve into different styles all the time. im not completely focused on trance. the comment i made about my particular style was a general point on the state of EDM as a whole not critising any genre because i think that the whole idea of fun has gone out of the scene and replaced with arrogance and people trying to be something they are not. |

Yeah, if you keep loudly saying that I'm pathetic and have no argument you might just get away with the fact you didn't actually answer any of it logically, you just attacked me without basis. And before you make the predictable reply- I backed up why you're a hypocrite and why you're thick within the post itself, rather than claiming something without any real evidence or knowledge.
You can flash the opinion card all you want, but it's a statement of fact I quoted. How old someone is is not an opinion- it's a figure. A number. A thing. theres a differnce betweeen having an opinion and just being a negative and argumentative person.
as for your post as a whole, i think you have lost the plot there by taking a tongue-in-cheek comment about maybe there are alot of people on TA who havent been to a club and maybe under 16 (since there are 60,000 as you say, chances maybe high) and gone off with rant after rant of what in the whole doesnt make sense and is completely unessesary.
since i dont want to get into what is an almost-daily thread-ruining argument on TA over what an opinion is, i made a point in my post that there are certain posters on here with blind dislike of certain genres or posters who like those genres or djs associated with them. so if you go back, put your back in your pants and read my posts again then you will see that i was merely sayng that the problem was that certain posters flame others and label them "fanboys"etc because they do not agree with people who like music that is diffenrent to their styles of music.
one example of that would be your first post in reply to mine and i quote "lots of words and all wrong" which in fairness you could aim your last 3 posts at.
you seem a very argumentitive and stressed out person to get so wound up over an innocent comment about the idea that many people on TA maybe kids and that Flaming people for liking a genre other than their favourite is not what having an opinion means.
having just noticed that you recently only turned 18 then i think maybe thats why you have kicked up such a hissy and behaved the way you have done so far tonight.
as for being thick? ive actually been going clubbing across the uk and into EDM from when you were probably halfway through primary school so i should assume i have a decent knowlege about music aswell as life in general
im more intrested in positive and constructive people on here and in the EDM scene and ive no time to get into "trivial" arguments with people who clearly take internet messageboards too seriously |

Yeah, and you're generalising about it. Name me some of these "just negative and argumentative" people. I've seen these accusations laid down many times, and the people making them have always assumed things about the people they're talking about. I can think of one genuine example of that who isn't Ishkur, and that's Harriz. These certain other people must have slipped by me all these years. A lot of people are opinionated, but you in this thread expressed an opinion about techno which is just that.

I didn't get "so wound up". I made a single-line post in a perfectly calm way. Because you were talking . When you started accusing me of being part of this fabricated group of people you've dreamt up, I replied more strongly, because being branded something I'm not on no evidence because I bruised your ego pisses me off.
