Question for the ladies:

Alright, this is a question specifically for the ladies, but I am sure there are going to be tonnes of nosey guys reading this too, so I will also ask you a related question.
Ladies, for those of you that work out and go to the gym on a regular basis, how do you inspire yourself to go when you feel like , particularily during that time of the month? Is there any suggestions on how to make things a little less crappy? Perhaps some home remedies to help??
Gents, what is it that spurs you on to go to the gym, even when you REALLY don't want to? How do you convince yourself to go?
Also, I am wondering if anyone can give me a good outline for a female workout that will tone?
Right now I am doing 20 mins cardio on the treadmill, with free weights in my hands, (kill two birds with one stone) and then every other day I do weights that specifically target the abs, back, and legs, or continue with another 20 minute cardio session on the bike.
I am sure I have a lot of room for improvement. Guys, I know you will be inclined to give me suggestions on how to better my workout, but please keep in mind that I am a woman, and don't want to bulk up or anything.
Also, any suggestions on dietary additions?
Ok... GO! |

Theresa, I work out everyday. Wake up. Put on running shorts. Find shoes. Put them on. Walk over to running guy's room. Knock. Wake him up. Go running.
Then at like 4, after classes, I go to the pool and swim my laps.
Every day. if you make yourself do it everyday, it becomes part of your routine. If I feel overly crappy, I still do it. It's just part of the day.
Diet? I eat what I like but I don't like junk food. I like salads and tacos. I love tacos. I never got 'into' junk food cuz it wasn't available to us as kids. |

a tub of haagan dazs in bed with a good movie should do the trick.
i never could find it in me to get all motivated to hit the gym during my period. but then again, i have a bit more severe PMS than most.
it's mostly a physical thing out of your control...it's hormones. just deal with it. if u work out on a consistant basis when you're not having your monthly friend, then it's not the end of the world to skip a few days a month.
you're allowed to induldge a little. you're a woman. that's a hard enough job in this world. so screw what the what the world says about it, and screw the gym when you're on your period!
my 2 cents. :D |

When I don't want to go... I just don't. crunches, pull ups, push ups, and a few free weights at my house work for the "I don't wanna go to the ing gym" days. |

id suggest tampons. all the girls on the ads are so full of energy, they can do anything! ;)
id suggest looking at your flab in the mirror. that should be enough motivation to get your lard to the nearest treadmill. |

Well, I look in the mirror and I see that I am in great shape; that combined with cramps and mood swings, I think " THIS" and I want to go back to bed.
LOL!!
Meh, Imma go cause I know I should, but I'm not gonna be happy about it. |
