Ah... Torontonians...

I have a BIG problem with people in Toronto and I need to vent. And it's just venting, nothing more.
This is only my impression and no offence is made to anyone.
Here's my problem.
I was at the Bier Markt tonight with some co-workers and decided to go get some fresh air. So I walk calmly to the door, when I see a chick pinching another chick's nose.
So as I walk, I stop besides them for a moment and start counting to see how long she can hold her breath. Well... I got the middle finger. This isn't the first time that I witness people acting like they're the cream de la creme, when in fact they're just partying like everyone else and have nothing special about them.
Why? Why are people here in TO so snooty and stuck up? Sometimes I feel their dream is to run in a field of dicks and fall on their asses.
Don't get me wrong, there are tons of great people here and of course there are s just like everywhere else, but it seems to me that Toronto has more than it's fair share of the A-hole ones.
See, I come from Montreal, and as I remember it, people there are friendly and warm. If you say hi to a stranger and start talking him/her, it doesn't mean anything, we're just having fun, just socializing. But here, it's seems like it's a big NO NO.
Is it because I'm used to that warmness in Montreal that Toronto seems so cold, or is this reality for everyone?
Anyhow... as I said.... just venting :) |

I understand what you're saying but not ALL the TO women are like that.
Albeit there are a LOT like that here though.:sadgreen:

I dunno, I think your perception is a common one. I'm an American, so I think Torontonians are super friendly in comparison to Americans, as do most of my friends who have come up here to visit over the years. Yet, when u talk to someone from another part of Canada, they all seem to have this perception of Toronto that you have.
Could be the crowd at the Bier Market....
Montrealers really freak me out, cuz many seem like they are oversexed people, where the women dress like whores and anything goes. Maybe thats why Montrealers seem so 'friendly' to you? ;)

Oh I'm not talking about the women only... I've seen guys behave snooty too. Don't get me wrong, both sexes are equaly guilty.
As for the TOTA people, I've noticed, this community sounds great! |

#1. You stopped to gawk/observe two women doing something, and are surpised you recievd a negative reaction?
#2. The girls in question obviously seem mentally and socially deficient, or in the least possibly under the influence. Hardly the types one should be looking @ for any sort of politeness, warmness, or decorum.
#3. You're quite possibly an over-sensitive tit, I certainly hope this bullet-point doesn't illicit more estrogen soaked lament. |

| people seem to be very frustrated and isolated here. this in turn makes genuinely easy going people frustrated and isolated and it just becomes a never ending cycle. |
