I had a pretty good time. For me, I thought the VIP was worth it at least compared to the Giant Village VIP, because although the view of the DJ was mostly blocked by the decorations, you could still hear the music unlike the GV lounge locations and MM had way shorter drink lines and no bathroom lines, but it might have been just as quick outside. You figure if you drink a couple of vodka redbulls and bottled waters to equal around $40, it makes the VIP ticket around $35 which is what it cost for Armin last time at Spundae.

It was way crowded though. The only TA people I saw were Karen, Kris and Ben. I only saw Karen for a second outside since I was trying to hurry up and get in before Markus started. I figured I would see her and other TAs inside later but man it was packed!

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL... WHO'S THE CUTEST OF THEM ALL? :toothless

I know that's not a mirror, looks like one, so let's pretend. :toocool:

Just some quick facts I got from LA Memorial Sports Arena

  • There are 12,389 fixed upper-level, theatre-type seats and arena-level seating which varies by sport.
  • The floor area comprises a 144 by 262 foot space (38,000 sq.ft.), affording the largest standing floor capacity of any arena in the area.

We can just assume each person is occupying 2sq.ft. and add the other people in the hallways & the ramp.

You guys do the math.

That's what they would like the authorities to know to avoid getting shutdown due to fire code. If you're making a lot of moolah, f*&% the fire code.

All in all, I had a great time but what do you expect from the event that's open to all ages? And drugs do come with the territory and it's not only EDM that has this issue. Look at rock & rap. As long as everyone's having fun & not molesting others, I can handle it.

Wow. Judge Jules was surprisingly impressive. He was also the only one who really followed the Halloween theme, his selection was very appropriate.

If anyone can tell me the name of the song he opened with, that would be great. I've been looking all over to find out what it is with no luck. Its a very Halloweenish song, I can send a clip of it if anyone wants to hear it.

actually, check it out here: http://uploaded.to/?id=007e28

Im pretty sure its an edit or rework though I have the vinyl and realized their are some differences in this track like some cut up vocals and some more added to the build up

I'm amazed that top DJs will play the same tracks as each other at such a huge event. :conf:

That's cuz I'm almost certain not all DJs were there the whole time or they didn't pay attention to each other's set. That happened at Spundae when I played CICADA - THE THINGS YOU SAY. That song got played 4 times that night. I only heard it twice, but my friends told me other DJ's played it on the other rooms, then when I heard the recording, someone else played it too right after I did. It happens, no big deal.

Its more an issue of them all playing similar stuff. Kinda boring imo.
