No. You are ABSOLUTELY WRONG! have you read the book called, " How to DJ right - The art and science of playing records" by Frank Broughton and Bill Brewster? (The world has been waiting for a book like this - Mixmag)

have you read that book???

Have you read the book of Last Night a DJ saved my life?

Have you read that book???

have you take a reasearch WHO is the one who invent those GENRE?

I think you need to sitdown for a week and take a lot of research.

oh my god......you should change your screename to Ricky Martin. You lack the intellect to represent Beethoven.

i have nothing else to say, i figure it would be a waste of my time to debate music with such an imbecile who can't even make coherent sentences.

U know, to play a piano, we need to mastered it about 10 years.

to be a club DJ, you can leart how to mix well approximately only in 3 months.

I'm NOT talking about producer. I'm NOT talking about DMC. I'm talking about CLUB DJ.

what the DJ's do in the club?

the answer is: MIXING and MIXING.

my best friend is a good DJ. he said, to be a good DJ, he should mix well and has a good track selection. a DJ should ACT! What he really means is learn how to smile and use body language to communicate with the crowd.

is that all? the answer is: Yes.

Anybody can be a DJ.

However, DJ is like running. Anyone can run. However, only a few that can be a champion. I respect them.

My point is: learning how to be a DJ is far more easy than any other musical intstrument.

:stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

You don't know about DJing, do you ?

If what you said was true, there would be only one type of DJ in the world, and his name would be Wurlitzer.

you seem to be obsessed with this idea that dj's have to be good at acting. Well besides the fact acting is a skill, how is it any different to a guitarist in a band showboating and acting in similar ways to how you think a dj must? I've even seen pianists acting and getting into it how you describe a dj must. So whats your point exactly?

FYI, where its relevant, the discussion as to what constitutes 'art' has been a giant philosophical debate

I think you need to shut the up already. This is getting ridiculous.

DO YOU LIKE HIM??? DO YOU WANT TO VOTE HIM???

Dave Clarke is a moody bastard, in fact, I dont think Ive ever seen him smile. He quite often looks like hes preparing to murder everyone in the crowd. He is a ing good DJ though.

I voted for Dave Clarke

Therefore your statement is bollocks

truly, you are a ing idiot.

you need to sit down for a week and take a RESEARCH. U are stupid, I wont want to deal with you. you are a ing idiot.

Reggae, disco, hip hop, house, techno, drum n bass, garage, these forms born and bred not by the musician but surprisingly by the DJ's.

these genre didnt emerge from some jam session epiphany: they came from the DJ truing every trick in the book to keep hold of the dancefloor - his high maintenance lover.

In the early 90's most dance music were house music. Look at now, in ONLY FOR 10+ years, there are so many new genre!

What happened here?

many trance song are going better and better. you can listen the early 90's trance a and compare to "today" trance. there are a lot of differences.

This improvement is not by the musician but by the DJ's.

I have to agree with djdk. I saw Steve Lawler a few weeks ago and he had the same facial expression for three hours, completely emotionless.
