Secondly, how was that complaining? I was just pointing out how your argumenting skills suck.

Can you answer the following for me, please?:

What parts specifically about any of those videos do you deem insightful in the same manner as the original video you posted? Be specific in your answer as well.

And as if your arguments are of the highest quality.

Well, at least your arguments are consistent, even if they're recycled.

And to be honest, yes, my arguments may not be so top notch when dealing with you. I'm not accustomed to dealing with people who don't seem to understand the words they're using.

I'm also curious what we were supposed to infer from the 'stoner' video.
:conf:
What exactly did you find so insightful about it?
(I'm not being facetious here either)

Also, TheDemon, we don't read minds here.
If we were supposed to click on the other links within that one you posted, you probably could have mentioned that since 'other videos' could have meant just about anywhere in cyberspace...

We tend to be very specific here for a reason and I think you're starting to find out why; Way too many assumptions can me made otherwise, which is the hole you're trying to dig yourself out of now...

@ TheDeamon: Listen man, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if part of the reason for the students excessively inappropriate and violent treatement had to do with racism, but the fact of the matter is that it's hard as hell to prove something like that, unless someone said "sand******" or "******" or "spic" or "honkey" or "kike" or some other racial slur. And that's what Groundhogboy and Opus are arguing about. They're not automatically assuming that there's no chance it had anything to do with race eigther (I think) but they're also not automatically assuming it did.

The fact of the matter is that even if that were the case, it would be pretty hard to prove. Most people don't scream racial slurs anymore, even if they are racist.

That's exactly my point. Thank you for summarizing that well.

TheDemon,

I hope you can understand this was precisely what I was trying to get across to you. I realize I came across as a bit of a turd in the process. I will apologize for that if you can understand my central point in doing so: I simply wanted you to realize that you were making unsupported claims in a debate forum, that's all. I and a few others here really try hard to keep this forum separate from other forums like the COR because of that central point. I had no intention of taking your opinion away nor would I be able to. Rather, I just wanted you to be able to support your opinion, if possible. Now granted, supporting yourself doesn't always happen, and I'd be pretty hypocritical to state that I do this 100% of the time. More often than not, however, I try to state something with at least a bit of substance behind it that could give it a bit of weight.

So I do hope you accept my apology, and I do hope you post here more often in the future. I just hope you please consider the differences between this forum versus the other forums when you do post something.

This is nothing shy of ed up.

This is from the UCLA police policy:

http://dailybruin.com/documents/200...taserpolicy.pdf

In essence, in accordance to the UCLA police policy, they are allowed to tase against passive demonstrators. In other words, sitting down and not moving for reasons of protest can get you tased.

Uningbelievable. If this is true, then in accordance to the UCLA police policy these officers were within their policy guidelines. So it may not be the officers' heads that will be rolling, rather someone much higher up in the department. I can't ing believe this is policy. Wow.

I accept your apology and hope you accept mine. I know sometimes I do come across a bit strong, my own fault. And yes, I would like to post more often. I had my my own reasons for my oponion, possibly they just didn't come across as I intended them too. Although in regards to this forum, and you only, I feel that I came across you in a wrong way than you did to me. In other words, I was rude and I do recant my statements to you. Although we all have our oponions, as humans it is our own neglegance that when others don't agree we do tend to get aggresive and defensive. I've seen it all the time, even for the smallest thing. I guess my point being originally that I didn't agree with the police and their reactions to the situation. Regardless of the person's ethnic backround, Iam still against what happened. In regards to my posting of the video, yes I may have chosen a link that might not have been the best one (although I did listen to many of them and I myself found them very interesting) that specific video came across a bit tarnished. I do appreciate your gesture. thank you.

That is ED UP! Wow. Talk about unnecessary force and brutality.

Thanks for digging that up.
