Thats sick, so he didnt have his pass on him and its not like anyone hasnt just forgot something like that when they left for school in the morning.
Made me feel a bit ill actually remembering trying too get through a US airport to try and leave a few years ago and being harrassed terribly for having a visa which had expired 3hrs ago, looking 'kinda arabic' and probably easy too pick on so they'd look like they where defending the airport in front of their bosses.
Because 5"2 tall half indian, half dutch girls that speak with a south african accent wearing $5k suit, $20k's worth of watch and jewelry with luggage that weighs more than I do, pose a huge threat too US national security with our nail files and smelly beauty therapy chemicals.

I agree with josh4 on this one. I mean, we dont have alot of info about this case, but at the same time, the cops might of been two s. In America, I find most cops nice and respectfull towards people. The kid was a in dumbass, he clearly was guilty in this case imo. He surly did not act like a normal person would do in this case. So again, he had it comming.
and Lilith, about the incident. Well I could understand why they were being "s". Having an expired visa (even though it was 3 hours ago) ago and looking "arabic" close to a 9/11 that just happen, will get them a little bit suspicious. But even taking that aside, some cops are s, just like people.
I do have alot of respect for the police force in the U.S though. |

I've met good honest police officers and have upmost respect for them, but the police around here, especially local (non-LAPD) are absolutely horrible. I've seen them arrest kids for drinking/weed etc and say the stupidest things I've almost ever heard, not to mention stuff that just plain isn't true. Most of them lack basic people skills and the ability to pragmatically problem solve, and many of them are clearly on a power trip. I'd need more than two hands to count the number of times I've seen them act like they are asserting the law when in fact they have the law backwards, and any thing you say that goes against their word only makes them more sure of themselves... |

| I've seen tons of examples of police brutality unfortunately, the level of which I became aware of only a couple years ago or so. This is still ing disgusting though. Most people think tasers are ing harmless. No they're not! Tase the wrong person the wrong way and you can actually kill them! There's no need to tase him in the first place, but those ing s are tasing him over and over again! ing bastards. |

See I didn't understand that. I didn't get a very good glimpse of the student or the cops but from what I did see the cops were pretty buff and the student wasn't that big. Why go to all the trouble of yelling for him to stand up over and over? I know I saw two cops holding each of his arms, clearly they could have just lifted him up and took him out. |
Its funny, they help him up, then they drop him down. And then yell at him like a buch of pigs to get up. Justified? no. Abuse? You make the call. I think it is. Trust me, if you get tazered, its not easy to get from it that easily. These cops were just being pricks. |

I'de file disorderly conduct charges, and remove him from the university. The officers were just doing their jobs. They've been endowed with authority to protect the students, and in this specific situation, I think they acted according to their descretion. If he had his ID, none of this would have happened. When somebody decides to fck with the authorities, they shouldn't cry when the authorities fck you over in return. Just do what they say.
WHat a FoCKING IDIOT. |

So could you explain the harm imposed on the surrounding students from a kid who was handcuffed and tased on the floor? For some reason, and call me crazy, I just don't see too many suspects a threat to anyone down on the floor handcuffed with a taser embedded in his gut. Because if he was indeed a threat, then I would certainly agree with you and believe multiple tases were mandated. Otherwise, I think you need to explain this a bit more.

I agree he was an and should have been more compliant, but the ends seemingly do not justify the means of him either failing to have an ID or being a jerk. When a suspect is down on the ground and refuses to get up, I would be highly suspicious of any enforcement agency who believes multiple tasing while handcuffed is somehow justifiable, do you?

Again I agree, but how does the enforcement of multiple tasing while being handcuffed on the ground justify being a ing idiot? |

| Rumor has it he did have an ID at the time but refused to show it. If this is true then I would have no option but to assume he wanted to know what it felt like being stunned. |
