I'll have to agree with Boogerd here.. He might want to shut up for a year or two, and just get back to doing what he's good at. He'd actually set a decent standard for other 'superstars' in doing that, for a change. |

I may be wrong here, but worldwide a professional football player is more known than the top DJs, even Tiesto. So, RVN > Tiesto, worldwide.
Kids play soccer, err, football, in the streets calling themselves "Ronaldo," "Ronaldinho," "Maradona," "Pele," etc. And if they are playing top football for a young age some would say they have a good future maybe playing in the big leagues. Grownups walking by might say, "Hey, this kid is pretty good. He might be the next Ronaldo."
Now, you also have kids spinning records in their bedrooms which a lot of people don't appreciate or just don't like. Some people that leave close by might say, "Damn it! That stupid neighbor is high and playing his loud music again. I'm calling the cops." They don't say, "Hey, did you hear that? That neighbor just made the sickest transition ever! OMGIDIE!"
Point: Football is known worldwide, DJing not so much. People know their pro players. Most fans will know the top players from each team, be it national or local. It's just how it is. As for DJs, they are known worldwide, but in a sense it is still underground knowledge.
Think here for a second. When was the last time you saw a DJ having a shoe named after him like Ronaldo or Ronaldinho? Oh wait, forget it. |

The whole Olympics thing, i live in the UK and watched the whole ceremony, and i think he was mentioned once and shown for about 5 mins through a 3 odd hour ceremony. Nobody out of the clubbing scene which granted worldwide is a resonable amount of people but in the grand scheme of things is not a lot, have the slightest clue who the who the he is. |
