fatboy slim charges one of the highest fees per gig [nearly twice as much as tiesto/dyk/oakey/etc]
oakey has made his millions but since he doesn't tour as much anymore, tiesto is probably raking in the most over the last two years. |

| For some reason I'm thinking of Erick Morillo, Danny Tenaglia, Pete Tong... or just any ridiculously famous house dj. Probably because their music style can pass off a soundtrack to this whole "glamourous life" scene. |

I felt really justified when I saw Oakey live at Burning Man in '05 (for free, there's no commerce there). I'd always been interested to see him live (honestly - not that great, same old 10 tracks I've heard 100 times), but didn't want to contribute to his pocketbook anymore than I have by buying a couple of his CD's.
I'd have to imagine that Fatboy Slim is the richest. Forget the money these people get for their gigs - what about the commercials and movies their songs appear in? Isn't that where the real money is? |

It's not a name that comes up around here, but Moby may be doing quite well, with a boatload of tracks from his "play" and "18" albums being licensed for commercials several times over.
The shame is that for all of these superstar DJs that are making tons of money, the true pioneers of our music still needed dayjobs to live decently. Larry Levan made a pittance for his residency at the Paradise Garage, and many of the major Chicago house pioneers sold all of the rights to their classic tracks to Trax for a laughable sum (around $1000?) |

| Oakie, Tiesto... possibly Sasha or Digweed too. PvD and Armin I'm sure are living a very comfortable life. Like others have mentioned, Fatboy Slim too. |

Paul has been playing close to 100+ gigs the past 3-4 years. Which is probably almost twice as much as all the other djs. He probably makes the most in a year, but he definitely doesn't keep it all.
im sure some one super rich out there has turntables and a mixer. |

Infact, the amount of people who get even close to that, can be counted on 1 hand.
