club != promoter
usually the promoter will use the fee money along with a fee from the clob for promoting services and sponsors (if any) to cover the expenses, the club owner only makes drinks and other stuff sold in the club.
you obviously don't know how clubs nights works
at least that how it works here
satisfied with my answer now? |
The type of negotiation you do with clients will vary. There is no one way to negociate. If the club owner invests in bringing the DJ he will keep entrance fee plus whatever he sells at the club, pretty obvious. If a promoter puts his own money down, he will keep the entrance fee. If the promoter and the club owner both put money down, they will split the entrace fee profits depending on how much each of them invested. It's business, i know how it works. Still, this has nothing to do with my statement that a club will earn more profit from selling liquor at the event than the entrance fee itself, so i don't know why you're making pointless arguments with me. |

That almost never happens, every club works with out of house promoters
Clearly you dont have a clue, so stop trying to back up your rediculous claim that Hawtin gets 90k |

lmao, just shut the up, i know im right about how the business works you blithering idiot. I presented different cases of how it can work. I'm also done with backing up that hawtin gets 90k, i stated from the start that it was what i heard from ferry's former manager, if it's true or not i simply don't give a .
go learn some mathematics and also understand that every club in every country does not operate the same way. |

Put this in perspective here, Trentemoller's contract states a fee of 10,000 euro's and i know this for a fact as I've seen his contract as we've tried to book him. (by the way we had him over in september 05 and he cost 1000€ (what a difference a year makes)
hawtin is far bigger draw than him, so you do the math. |

| Its funny how everyone in their respective little scene thinks they know how it works all over the world. |

why did you edit your post? it's true, Hawtin doing live act as Plastikman is very rare and i wouldn't be surprised if he asks for more than what he regularly costs.
if there is a high demand for a DJ in any given occasion they can ask for whatever amount they want, and if it's an important night they will get it. It's a sellers market. Hawtin may not have a high demand in the USA, but i'm sure he does in Europe and Asia. |

i'm sure hawtin doesn't do plastikman live shows anymore after the failure at mutek, hence I never thought it relevant to say how much he would command for such a performance as it's completely hypothetical and not likely to happen in the near future |
