People who look to the media for guidance are ing stupid. Can't blame Hollywood for that.

yes. you are very correct about that but there sadly way too many that idolize and look up to these people. i should say many younger people.

Well, it was damned sure true in my last relationship, and it sure left a bad taste in my mouth (if you feel the urge to make some lame sexual pun here, then off, please). Well, I know that *I* don't personaly subscribe to the power struggle bull, but I sure as hell got plenty of it from my ex...

I will say though, while not all relationships may be power struggles, the person who likes the other less sure does have an unfair advantage when it comes to those sorts of things. Then again, I guess a lopsided situation like that isn't truly a relationship.

Sorry, I should have said "not true at all in a relationship that has real love".


Don't really know how to explain it. But I can tell you that after 8 years with my bf, knowing what real love is, we wouldn't have made it this far if that were true.
