Spanish will always be Fawlty Towers :D
Mrs. Richards: I've booked a room with a bath and a sea view for three nights. I specifically asked for a sea view in my written confirmation, so please make sure I have it.
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: What?
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: K?
Manuel: Sí.
Mrs. Richards: KC? KC? What are you trying to say?
Manuel: No, no no no. Qué, "what."
Mrs. Richards: K. Watt?
Manuel: Sí: qué, "what."
Mrs. Richards: C.K. Watt?
Manuel: Yes.
Mrs. Richards: Who is this C.K. Watt?
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: Is he the manager?
Manuel: Oh, Manajer.
Mrs. Richards: He is.
Manuel: Ah, Mr. Fawlty.
Mrs. Richards: Oh, what are you talking about, you silly little man?
[to Polly]
Mrs. Richards: Girl, I start to ask this man about my room, and he tells me the manager is a Mr. Watt, aged forty.
Manuel: No, no no. "Fawwl-ty."
Mrs. Richards: Faulty? What's wrong with him? |

You've gotit wrong. Portugese is actually fake Russian. They took all the Russian sounds an mixed them around randomly just to make Russians trip out. When I'm drunk/high and I hear Portugese, I feel like I should understand it but can't... so annoying. |
Haha, that's so true! I remember the reason why I first wanted to learn Russian was because it sounded like Portuguese spoken backwards, and there were even cases similar to this:

I didn't speak any Russian back then, and a girl (who didn't speak English), tried to talk to me. Obviously, I couldn't know what she was saying (and I assumed she was trying to speak Portuguese, due to the similarity), but as, far as I remember, it went on like this:
- Надо! (It's necessary!)
- Nada?! (Nothing?)
- Дa! (Yes!)
- "Dá" de "sim" ou "dá" de "dar"? (What do you mean by "da"? "Yes" or "give[s]")
- Что? (What?)
- "Estou"? Você está... "nada"? ("I am?" Are you... "swim"!?")
- Дa, надо! (Yes, it's necessary!)
- Dá nada? (Nothing happens?)
- Дa! (Yes!)
- Dá? (It's possible?)
- Дa, jdfhnidjisjfbisj (and a bunch of stuff I didn't understand).
- Que?!
...
The conversation lasted for about 10 minutes, until we realised we were getting it all wrong :p
Cheers :)
