i'm sorry... some of the responses in this thread are just plain ignorant and stupid. i would think people centered around nyc would have more intelligent things to say as well as being more knowledge about the world and its happenings. some of you really just need to travel around the world a bit, and not JUST for pleasure. to see how others live day to day and even just to absorb the culture, if only for a second. it will change your life.

as for those you who say we went to iraq for a reason even justifying it by 9/11? how??? how can u disgrace those who died that day. i'm sorry but who was the original person we were supposed to go after?? osama bin ladin.... who is where? nowwhere to be found. DEFINITELY not in iraq. somehow we went from avenging the 5000 who died that day by charging into afghanistan and switching course over to iraq. are they even related?? common sense people. i really feel for those who are over there fighting for "america". the america they really are proud of fighting for. the america that is deceiving them and taking their lives. man... i hope the soliders come back soon and i hope they are educated on who they are really "saving". was iraq really in such a bad situation? are there not so many other places in the world that need help with their government? do you guys even realize that going into iraq, america has stirred up a middle east rally of islam. i'm sorry to put it this way but this looks exactly like another holy war. another ing crusade in modern times. i'm not even gonna continue, this gets me so angry. religion. don't even group buddhism with all those other religions. ITS NOT A RELIGION. ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE.

yea.. i definitely agree u can go both ways.... but i'm just not one to approve of wars and violence. i just hate all forms of racism, discrimination, cruelty... etc. etc. i just feel there are better ways to resolve things. violence and killing doesn't stop violence and killing... if u get what i mean.

i do,,,when the war started i remember seeing iraq getting bombed live on TV and the only thing I could think of was about how many children were getting killed and orphaned whilst I was watching the screen...

You want people to respect you and believe you are there to help them and not hurt them? Then I say that Bush should have sent our troops there unarmed. But that would make TOO much sense.

Go ahead and cry over all teh civilians that died during this whole thing, its not like the attack was a secret, people could have left - yet decided to stay. Their own fault for hanging around to see the physics of how bombs work.

oh yeah, because displacing all your belongings, business, job, family, kids, education, house, reputation, and level in society, all to another country, is so easy... may you never have to be in the position that the people living there were put in, you really are heartless and ignorant, after reading this last post of yours... it was Saddam's tyrannical iron fist that kept that country together, now it's just in shambles for EVERYONE living there, not just one group of people. Seriously, how DO you live in New York?

jail does that to you.... he is famous for making enemies with such religious leaders LIKE Osama Bin Laden himself... he was a very secular leader, i dont care what book he was holding before he died.

how about some of the atrocities committed by this American occupation in Iraq as we speak?... three of my friends just came back from the service.... talking to them, i swear to god they'll never be the same, after the things they told me they saw AND took part in.

it's not a joke that many of the E.U. countries are charging Rumsfeld with WAR CRIMES. several years from now, i think many in the administration are going to be on trial. this war's as ed up as some of the actions of the guys you just mentioned.

Amen!!!!
