Got there around 11:30 and the place was already pretty packed. Sander's set blew me away. The combination of the vibe in the room and his relentless set was perfect. I was pretty much dancing my ass off non-stop. And then Second Sun came on and they totally killed the vibe for me. I was really looking forward to seeing them but their set just did not connect for me. Markus was incredible as usual. I really did not want to leave but by 5:15 I was so tired I just had to go home. All in all, great night, good crowd, and, once again, strong drinks thanks to Tara :) Did anyone else check out the hip hop room upstairs? I walked up there for about a minute and it was strange -- I really should not have mixed the vibe up like that!

Great to meet all the NYTAs at the beginning of the night.

:( my girlfriend ate something bad yesterday and was throwing up all night, AND stayed awake, so there was no way i could go and leave her there :( i'm very pissed i didn't make it, you have no idea!!! arghh.... judging from Jayoza's review, i was kind of happy i didn't shell out 30$ on this one (sounds like he didn't bang it out proper with the tech and trance, but did his electro-ish thing) but then reading johnnypmo's review, with him mentioning "direkt dizko", now i'm kinda taking that back (i'm wondering what songs he played after and before that, so he musta been bangin it out)! hope to have him back here in the city!

;)

Sorry you missed it Eco. Not to make you feel even worse, but Sander really did kill it. He had total control of the room. But never fear, there will always be a next time! Hope your girlfriend feels better.

SVD tore that place apart... unfortunately I didn't make it for Alterimage - they were great when I heard them at crobar months back.

But yeah like a lot of people were saying, SS really killed the energy in that place. By 5 o clock I had enough and had to get the hell out of there. That being said, the guys at SS have got something special going, but it just wasn't the right time for it, imo.

I mentioned Electro, but i did not mean Electro House... More like Electro Tech Trance.

what time did Markus come on... second sun killed the energy for me so I left around 3-330.

I walked in when Sander dropped his new track, "Back By Any Demand" and then he proceeded to drop his rework of Black is the Color, This World is Watching Me (Cosmic Gate Remix), Analog Feel (Rank 1 Remix) and a few other in that short span that just kicked my ass instantly.

Lots of other bombs of course all night. Pissed I couldn't stick around for Markus.

pretty dope night

i def agree, adam and ian of alterimage opened up pretty nicely for van doorn then min van doorn goes on, he rips it up with dave spoon - at night. i was like wtf its 11:30 and this guys killing it allready. unreal. second sun came on and that was my cue to hit up the basement to peep out ian and adam and rebbeca..they were playin some dope down there too, as with al of deepspell. markus was alot better then his set at spirit with dk last june. allthough a bit much on the fluffy stuff, it still had its moments. allthough i have to admit, markus does act a bitt too much like armin with the same poses as him..kinda makes me feel like hes copying em a bit too much lol. overall, def van doorn had the set of the night..he shoulda closed.
