You didn't really miss out on Party All the Time :P. They didn't sing on it, they only played the instrumental as a tease for people to recognize. I thought i was wrong about the song though when they changed it out since i was singing it like an idiot and everyone was like, what are you singing? And i'm like party all the time man! Don't you hear that Miami Beat!???? And then i was soon to find out that there was no "party all the time". :( So around 3:00, i went up to them with my cellphone and requested party all the time. And to my surprise Second Sun was like... "We played it already! The 1st track!" I was like... nooooo way! That was it after all! Damn you guys! |

holy ! Sander was sikkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! Original, hard, dirty and twisted, he was unbelieveable. absolutely nasty mixing, the kind of mixing you hear from J00F, Nick Sentience, the hard bangers who know how to mix.
Second Sun got on and I just sobered up instantly, after a few hours of bangin beats to have to listen to second sun was a complete buzzkill, as talented as they are it just didnt fit the program, they should have opened. |

| SVD was awesome...he deff tore the place up. Second Sun came on and just killed the flow.....they did nothing for me and I went downstairs to check out the Alter Image party....good music down there. I went back upstairs to give SS another try and it was even worst....they deff should have opened up. The beginning of Markus's set was really good but he dropped off about half way through playing a lot of cheesy . The highlight of his set for me was Marco V - Simulator!! He was pretty much putting me to sleep at the end though. Somebody played Starkillers vs Seal - Killer but I honestly can't remember weather it was SVD or Markus.....awesome hearing that in a club though. All in all it was good to get out and hang out with friends......met a few new TA's as well. :D |

It was ing wonderful to see everyone both upstairs and down just dancing...No bull. Everyone having a good time, no fights, no nothing. Loved Sander's set. I hate when DJs go up and down in their sets. When Sander went harder into the set, he stayed there. Loved every minute.
Was great to see Markus still keeping that energy that left Sander's hands after his set. Some IDs need to be ID'ed from Markus though. |

Wow. Just wow.
Sander: Everything I hoped he'd be and more. I agree with what someone said about his mixing, the last hour and a half he was integrating tracks in ways I can't even describe. My other comment would be that he picked perfect times to drop vocal tracks. He also held the silence for This World.. for a beat longer, which I thought was a nice touch.
Second Sun: The best decision of the night was when my friends and I skipped the out of their set and chilled downstairs for an hour and a half, where the music was better. Ugh, their remix of "this is" whatever was so lame.
Markus: Came back to the main floor as he was sampling blake jarrel's louder remix. His first 5 tracks were money and he never let up, imo. My first time seeing him, a lot people said he was more energetic/harder than usual? Thoughts? In the beginning I was pissed Sander wasn't closing but, in the end, I left thoroughly impressed with Schulz's ability to mix and interact with the crowd.
He definitely returned to the energy sander created and went with it. Megashira, Mindcircus, Yearzero and Playmo ftw. I also like his new track "I am."
Met some TAs - though can't really remember names. I had a white short sleeve shirt with like a gold bird thingamjig on the back. Last time I let a girl pick out my shirt, I wanted to wear my "trance, the other white beat shirt." Oh, well. To sum - great club, great event staff, great event. Thank you, New York - made the flight from Chicago more than worth it.

Oh sup man ur the one from Chicago that i constantly traded ID's with lol. :) Pleasure meeting you! Definitely agreed with Sander's mixing. He was mixing like it was his identity sets, very fast yet so clean. I don't think i heard him mix the first or last 16 or 32 measures of any song haha. :x I remember hearing a sample of Are You Fine like 64 measures early before the actual bass of the song hit. I was like WTF? Ableton!? |
