OMG SVD was freaking SICK. I loved his entire set. I was very surprised to see so many people at 1110 when i came there. There was a heat wave that hit me(was so hot over there). Anyway, i enjoyed every minute of Sander. I wish he closed though. Second Sun lost me in the beginning. I just went downstairs and listened to the guys downstairs. They were great. To bad there wasnt that many people for them. After a while i went upstairs and caught Crush. It was actually pretty good and SS had me for few more songs till i went back downstairs again. I waited it out till Markus came in. He had some good songs as well. I just chilled and danced until it was 5am and i wanted to go home. But what completely made my night yesterday was meeting this CUUUUUTTTEEE spanish girl, talking to her and getting her number. It was instant chemistry between us. Ill call her on monday.
As always it was good to meet you TA's. |

A great night, if a little odd musically.
The night would have been perfect if it had been SS, then Markus, then Sander. I love Markus, and he was definitely harder than I've seen him before, but Sander just put everyone to shame. I would see him again in a heartbeat. I had the feeling he was holding back a little, and would love to see him really go for it as a headliner. Can't say enough about him, plus he was shiny and sweet and really grateful to everyone talking to him afterwards. Ditto to what most other people have said about SS. Just poor timing, their set didn't belong in the middle. I lost energy big time and couldn't quite bring it back up for Markus.
Most fun for me was hanging out with everybody, meeting so many TA's. This time, seriously, too many to name. And it may take a while for me to permanently connect faces with TA names with real names. |

First time at Pacha and def was not let down. I was also surprised to see so many people there for Sander so early, but NYC has been waiting for svd for quite a while now :) Black is the Colour, Close Horizon Remix, and some really nice techy stuff SVD dropped after Direct Dizko made the night for me. Second Sun started off very slow and picked things up with The Spell, Playground and of course Crush - I was hoping they would play Love Simulator. When Markus came on and played Another You, Another Me I went to the basement and took a quick break... then came back to hear Cosmic Gate - Guess Who. Pretty nice set from Schulz but I would'v killed to have Svd close and drop his heaviest tracks like Craft/Hoover and his Purple Haze Stuff! ID's will follow....
Haha... and thanks to the ankle cast I was wearing my ankle made it through the night :P
Was anyone else shocked to hear Are You Fine from Sander?
Huge track for me : Junkie XL & Sasha - Beauty Never Fades (Remix?) |
