I wish they would just change womens clothing to regular sizing by inches. I am so sick and tired of having to guess which size I am, and having to try on 349875394875 ing pairs of pants before I realize I am just pissed off and no longer want anything.
I went shopping with my roomie (male), and it was SOOOOOO easy! We looked for measurements, and BAM got the pants he wanted in 5 mins. It takes me at the least 45 mins. Maybe they are TRYING to keep women in the stores and change rooms longer? Who the hell knows... all I know is that it pisses me off, and I don't enjoy shopping that much. |
Recently I was reading an interview from the distribution manager for a major middle range clothing brand ( think H&M, Gap whatever something like that ) and he explained that in France they have changed the numbering of the sizes to reflect the weight gain in society and not hurt womens egos! :haha:
So an old 4 is now a 2 etc :wtf: |

The thin COr ladies make it seem like it's death to be above 110 pounds, like c'mon are you f'real? Do they look good, hell ya the ladies look amazing but they seem to think that if they were to push it up to triple digits into the 110's then they'd look horrible. Not true, from from it.

i think you're kind of blowing it out of proportion... if anything, most of us are saying we wouldn't even mind gaining a few pounds. i think we all agree that boobs and ass are important! |

Yeah, I mentioned that about the U.S. earlier, but I guess it goes on in other countries, too. Silly fashion people. |

Hmm, you'd be right but I know what I am saying here, just this time. I've delt with waaaaaaaaaaaay too many girls who think negatively about this whole body issue thing that these are the conclusions I have come up with and I'm 90% right when I make them. I'm not blowing it out of proportion, I'm just saying what people think but won't admit. Maybe not people here, obviously, but people in general. And by reading most of the posts by the girls it doesn't seem like you wouldn't mind gaining weight.
You're all going to make me into some skinny hating Nazi who thinks skinny people should just vanish.:(
NO. I LOVE SKINNY PEOPLE.:D |

| Of course, in the U.S. and other fat countries there are far more women who could stand to lose weight than women who could stand to gain it, as far as health reasons go. |

I'm so not posting pictures of myself on TA anymore. I used to do that and it always just started crap. A lot of people have met me on this site so they know what I looked like. & I already said, that first picture that was posted is my body size and type... just with bigger boobs.
And I know it's crappy that society wants girls to be so skinny. On one hand everyone bitches about how models shouldn't be so skinny, but then on the other, they only hire skinny girls. [I know b/c I model] The girl who is "average" sized gets trumped by the skinny one every time. |
small waist with big boobs, your blessed with good genetics, i dont see what the problem is here sara. :) |

Okay, I agree with this. If men can get pants in a specific waist/length measurement, then why cant I? WTF. Why am I limited to even numbers 0-16? |

i agree with you, but trying to look from the other side it does make some sense
if its considered rude to ask a woman's weight, how do you think i'd feel asking their pants size?
but now if i ask and get some number between 0-16 or w/e it is i got no ing clue
its like a code to exclude men so they can talk about it in public w/o it being taboo like weight/age is |
