i agree with you, but trying to look from the other side it does make some sense
if its considered rude to ask a woman's weight, how do you think i'd feel asking their pants size?
but now if i ask and get some number between 0-16 or w/e it is i got no ing clue
its like a code to exclude men so they can talk about it in public w/o it being taboo like weight/age is |
This only promotes women being self-concious about their image, which in my opinion, is something that REALLY needs to be changed.
I honestly don't know what size I am in anything except in a bra. Why? Bras deal with REAL MEASUREMENTS. The number = inches around. I know that number, and I can easily measure it. My pants? Ummm, maybe 3? Perhaps I am a 5... ed if I know. Different stores = different sizes. It's STUPID.
This whole disguising the reality of your size by marking clothing with ed up sizing is beyond ridiculous. I don't want to have to spend 2-3 hours getting some clothes because I don't know what the hell I fit into.
ALSO... WTF!! Why are there not any SHORTER LEGGED PANTS?!?? Not all of us have 5 feet long legs kthx.

Here here.
Basically everything 'good' I own has to be hemmed up, trimmed in at the waist and widened here and there before it looks right. Jeans are the worst, in fact I've only got 2 pairs which I had to butcher to fit :( |

People should be in decent shape. To stop obesity you need a fat tax if people are overweight they pay extra taxes, this would only apply to countries like the UK with free healthcare. At the end of the day it's educating people to eat healthy and encouraging them to go out and exercise.
What you want is somewhere inbetween

seriously...it's not that hard to know what size you are (generally speaking). i say a 3-5 too...but the variations aren't THAT different from designer to designer. |

i'm actually ridiculously picky about my jeans, but i pretty much just wear the same two pairs and wash often
these two fit like my second skin, and until the hole in these ones' ass gets bigger i'm not looking for any others
srsly...less shopping = less problem
then again, my fashion beliefs are that jeans and a white t-shirt will never go out of style :p |

I honestly don't know...
Looking at my pants in my dresser now, I have 16 in childrens (I you not), 5, 3/4, 3, another 5, oh oh.. I have a size S, and a size J!!
So ummm, what size am I?
I can guess the range, but I don't actually know.
The only pair that actually fits me really well, without alterations is the size 16 childrens, which is case you didn't know, is below a 0 in womens. On the same turn, the size 3 pants are way too long in the leg, and are well fitting around the waist.
The sizing is flat out ED UP.
EDIT: I assume S - small...
But what is J? |

What are you talking about why don't they make shorter legged pants? It's called petite. Or "short". Nearly every store has Petite/short legged pants.
LONG leg, on the other hand... THAT'S an issue. A lot of times "long" is a joke. I need some 38" inseams up in here!!!
And maybe it's just me, but at least the women I've always grown up around in Poland are fit. By fit I mean, thin. I'm not saying everyone is, because they're always people that vary in weight, but it's not unnatural to see a lot of thin women.
Quit hating on the thin people! I'm going to punch the next person in the face who asks me if I have an eating disorder. I like my food just like everybody else. I just don't understand why most people just assume that. It's like you WANT everyone to have tubby bellies. |
