Someone needs to throw like a pre-party somewhere w/ open decks where I can come and show off my Ableton skills for once.

I am about to deem myself ready lol. :-p

Alright, Dave is finally joining the dark side. I remember back in the days when 1015 used to have a message board, we occasionally would have a 1015 Board party in the blue room. I'm sure some of the old schoolers remember this with me. It was during the Spundae days at 1015. Pure progressive in those days. :)

Perhaps we can have a pre party in the blue room so Dave can rock his laptop. :D :p
Dj Blurr
I remember those days Ish.

I never went to them tho. lol

But ya, Id like to see what Dave can do with Abelton.

1015 presents: Dj Dave Fu*king T!

LOL, I don't want to start at some big place. I am not a big fan of just jumping in like that. Mainly because I'm afraid to disappoint. I am sure I will make a lot of mistakes -- especially since I really try to focus on good phrase-matching in my transitions and any little distraction when it comes times to start making the transition can throw me off. I can usually recover if I only miss it by a couple of bars, but if I miss it by a whole phrase it can be a mess (in terms of how I want it to sound). Also, there's a big difference from doing the stuff in your own place and doing it in a big venue. I've finally gotten comfy on doing it on a little ole mixer (Ish's old DJM300...have been borrowing it for quite awhile).

And lastly, I want to earn my way to playing in venues. And not because I know people. I dunno, maybe I am good enough for it at this point. But I won't know that until I see how people accept my abilities at a little shindig.

I don't have a way of recording a set I play using a mixer, since I have to use my laptop to play the tracks as it is, lol. So anything I've released has been done solely in Ableton which makes transitions a tad tougher since I can't control two volumes at once or handle both sets of EQs at once within the software.

I remember those old blue room parties. They were so much fun! But the blue room is no more. No room in the place where we could have our own little party. :p

There's always Jay's pre/after parties! I had fun with the 1000s and xone92 last time I was there :D
D:Jay
I'm still looking for a venue.

Anyone mind walking/driving a bit farther from the Chevy's where we had the pre-PvD dinner to a lot better Chevy's? It has a better bar/table setup and location has some nice views for those coming out of town:
