Not trying to bash on group dinners, but for some reason one person always ends up paying more. There must be a more efficient way to manage this.
I really don't feel like paying $50 when I only ate $20 worth of food. |

Word to that. Although, most restaurants won't do it if it's a big group. |

Right...
Ya thats the thing. Gordon is nice, but I want our guest to have more of a variety too.
Guys Id like to get a menu that can advise both alike.
Im looking at a couple places right now also.
Im wondering, Rizen what the bill was like for chevy's when you went. One of the places requires us to meet a 1,000 bill, but the food is super grand and the menu is poppin from what I hear.
They cater I think to both meat and vegans alike.
Can we keep Gordon Biersch as a option for now? |
A list of good places is not dificult.....what's difficult is finding a place where people can come in @ whatever time they get there....and a place where they can adjust (more or less) for the number of people who actually show up.
As all of you who have attended the previous dinners know, everyone shows up at different times. The last one Alex showed up @ 6:45pm and Thomas showed up @ 8:30. Everyone else came in progression between those two times.
Pretty much EVERY decent restaurant in SF is full on Saturday nights, so they NEVER take large groups last minute. We would have to have a very specific list of attendees, and make a reservation days in advance.
This is the ONLY reason we keept choosing Chevy's!!
In addition.....everyone would have to show up at the same time. I've been to very dinner and that's NOT going to happen.
Gordon Biersch is large enough to accomidate what ever number of people show up, or don't show up. In addition that part of town is empty on the weekends, so their is PLENTY of street parking.
Furthermore, those of u who have been there know this, the view is AMAZING. It's on the waterfront, and almost right under the Bay Bridge. Though the food is not (by any means) the best of SF....the location (and beautiful view of the bay and the bay bridge) IS.
In closing:whip: :whip: :whip: what's going to make this night AMAZING is US, and that we're ALL together. All we need to find is a place that is going to be able to accomidate this group of "Johnny Come Lately's".
:tongue3 |

I know u did.....what I meant is that we were promissed the same thing w/ JooF...then he was not able to make it. Then Steve and well...you know.
Didn't mean to sound negative.....wich is what I meant by "I Believe":happy2:
I know if U say she will be there....she will:tongue2

Good choice on Gordon Biersch. I think Cheesecake Factory's wait would have been too long anyway. I remember waiting 45 minutes just to get seated on time at around the time you want to have your dinner. I'll be there for this one. I've got a long weekend ahead of me! |
Very Happy to hear you'll be out Skwallie :D |

no worries Franky, your still my bald headed brother from another mother.
Yes, this time Steve and Aruna are gonna be with us. We just have to decide on a location. I talked to them last night, and Steve says ya, they are all for it and stuff.
I wanna also be able to give Aruna a good meal before the show, so im seein if there is places with variety. |
