lol, I am not looking to do anything artistic. I just want to record some video to post. And it'll be in HDV. I'll get various shots from the room. And the shots should look better than the shots I got at Digwee because I will be bring a monopod and the lighting in glass below the decks will really help. At Digweed it was very dark overall cause Digweed says make it dark!
If I wanted to create a full edited video I could.
You guys know that I work in video production, right? It's my career! lol. I'm the senior producer of our video production department at CNET. I work in the CNET Entertainment division, which runs sites like GameSpot, tv.com, mp3.com, FilmSpot, etc. CNET also owns other properties like cnet.com, news.com, download.com, chow.com, webshots.com, etc. We got more famous to the every day person when a person who worked at CNET, James Kim, was in the news after going for help after his family's car got stuck in snow up in oregan and making a heroic effort, but unfortunatelly didn't make in the end.
Anyhow, I have been where I am since Jan 2000. Right now I'm focused a huge project that's technical stuff and not producing content at the moment. Have been working on it for nearly a year and it's finally about to launch!
If you ever want to know anything about video codecs, I'm your man. I pretty much know the intimate details of all of them lol. If you need someone to build a TV control room, I've done that too! Need to do a live video webcast and want to make sure it looks its best? I know everything about that, too.
I'm a nerd in this area and am a rare one who knows everything on both the technical side to the content side. Most production studios are setup where you have people with specific specialties. I know a quite a bit across the whole spectrum. (Anyone know anyone in LA who needs someone with talents like this? lol).
Anyway...point of this thread. I'm not looking to do anything overly artistic. I'll try to get a bunch of shots at different angles and if I feel the energy (and have the time) to do some special editing in post production, I will do it on my Edius HD turnkey system at work. |

Well shoot it tonight Dave, I really could use some exlusive footage of me playin in the room. Im trying to put together a video of 1015 and Djs, including myself to give to Sean Tyas, He in turn will give it to John Askew.. Im hoping to do something with Mixmag shortly also.
Ive also tweaked my laptop around this time to support my synths, Im about 99% confident I can use it with absynth and the other programs Ill have running. But theres still that 1% something could go wrong so Im not totally confident.
We will see what happens.

I have alwasy HATED the Synaesthesia (Paul van Dyk Vocal Remix) :whip: Plus the vocals are just plain "Stupid".
Steve's original "NON VOCAL" version is haunting and soooo ing good!!
There goes anothet example of PVD...putting his 2 "well spent" cents in to something that's PERFECT.
Anyways.....sorry, but this just brough back anger from years ago when this version first came out :mad:

Definitely... Thrillseekers is one of my heros. I couldnt sleep last night and spend my night in the studio checking on some more new promo material I received.
Im looking forward to seeing you all tonight, Ive prepared for this for a while now, and im ready for takeoff.
Last hours of preperation are at hand.. CDS Are done, packed and ready.. System is stable and ready to go.. lets get the night started.
Lets rock tonight.
I love you all for your support, and thank you all for helping make me 1015's newest monthly resident djs, and believing in this little raver.
