HAHA!!! DRIVE IT 6 DAYS A WEEK...STILL CRAZY!!! HOW IN F%@K ARE THEY DOING THIS?
lex400sc
they used this thing:

quote:

Your friends have undoubtedly been clogging up your in-box with funny pictures from Google Maps Street View, but do you know how those pictures were taken? You do now. Google licensed shots from Immersive Media, a company that specializes in 360-degree videos, in order to fill out their coverage in cities like NYC.

As you can see, IM mounts a 11-camera contraption on top of their vehicle as they drive in order to capture the 360-degree view you get on Google Maps. One thing to note, however, is that Google's San Francisco shots look a lot more detailed than their NYC shots. That's because Google took their own van out to take the SF pics.

on google maps you can actually rotate the view 360 degrees AND zoom
GeminiZ
that is some bad ass technology...

I WILL SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT!!! leaving in 30 mins:D :D :D

Hi Everyone,

First of all thank you all to everyone who came out last night. I had a wonderful time, and this really was a dream come true for me to open for one of my all time favorite Djs, Thrillseekers. We also got to meet Aruna, who completed the new track on Thrillseekers newest Track, "waiting for you".

Theres more Ill post when I wake up, gonna rest up for a bit.. Wanna hear feedback on how I did last night. I felt personally I could have done better. I was good, but I could have done better.

Thoughs and opinions everyone... and I hope everyone that wanted one of my CD's actually got one.

Rizen has also provided me a link to his server, so I now have the task of adding pics to it, and showing off some of the pics and video of nights. This is going to be a semi long process that ill talk about later..

Hope everyone had a great night last night.

I can't believe I missed this one. Was all set to come but came down with fever and just couldn't get out of bed yesterday :(

Having recently moved to the west coast, I was soo looking forward to seeing steve and meeting up with some of the TAs. Can anyone fill me in on what tracks steve played? How was the atmosphere?

Quick review:

Dinner was at Triptych, about 2 blocks away from Ten15 itself. The original menu was $37+ per person :wtf: we were able to get the regular menu and got myself a turkey burger on Taj's recommendation -- wasn't feeling the $22 price tag for a steak

Lexxx was allowed to play the Thrillseekers vinysl he brought for Steve to sign

Goofy group shot (missing DaveT)

My cousin Jose w/ sexy bartender Lisa. It was his first time at 1015 and trance gig which he really enjoyed so expect to see him again :D Although was a bit worried about him, he had way too much to drink :haha:

Thrillseekers Night Musc Volume 2 tour poster. Folsom was spelled Fulsom :whip: Thomas was trusing enough to give them to me to give them to Taj so they could be put up around the club but since Taj was busy I did it myself. Frank didn't like my quick taping though :haha:

Blurr #1 (dinner) flaker! :whip:

It was a good night, i got to meet more TAs and the vibe was cool. I enjoyed Blurr's set, but I got too drunk a bit into Steve's set to remember a good part of it. I am gonna upload a video i took of Steve playing Lange - Angel Falls.

OMG  what a night!!

Thank you everyone for showing up to Dinner (was worried Gilbert's card was going to get charged)....and thank you very much Thomas Phan for bringing Aruna to dinner. Great having her in the Group Din Pick :D

Thank You TAJ for joining us @ Dinner.....I know I speak for everyone when I say we were very Glad to have you "Break Bread" w/ the TA's......and a big THANK YOU for GETTING US ALL IN THE CLUB (that line was huge) :p

Blurrrr (#1-Dinner Flake) :whip: I don't really remember whether your opening set had any issues (way too busy having a good time w/ my buds), to where I could provide ANY constructive criticism, all that I can tell u is that the you really had the crowd going and I remember stoping dead in my tracks several times when you played some of my FAVES :toothless ......In other words (I'm not kissing his Ass Dave T) all that really matters in the end is that the crowd was feeling your set and dancing their asses off....they were!! GREAT JOB :disbelief

Finally...... A BIG THANK YOU (In case ur Reading This) Steve & Aruna for being so Chill and tolerating all us CRAZY KIDS pic & autograph request. I truly enjoyed your set and the ENERGY u brought to "OuR" house. Thank You :gsmile:

Props to the whole TA & 1015 family....for "Bringing It" :whip: :whip: :whip: .....I Love U ALL!!

I'm so glad of thinking of trying to get all the TAs together for the group shot with Steve and Aruna. Thanks to those who helped me to walk around Ten15 and grab all the TAs they could find. And a big thanks to Steve for being so down for doing it. Poor Blurr is blocked in the BG. Whole point of doing it right there was so he would be in the background lol. I didn't even know a big pic was done at dinner which is why I wanted to be sure to get one in the club...especially with Steve!

Too lazy too post a full review or anything, but will comment on Blurr's opening set and keep the rest brief.

Think he started off rough. Honestly. Had issues with him starting off with fast epic trance....it was way too early for that. Situations happened...then close to midnight he started to bring it down and did about as good of a job as you could doing it, IMO. Didn't rush the come down and didn't come down too far. From midnight-1am I think it was easily the best job of him opening that I have heard so far. Actually, no doubts it was. I think (MY OPINION HERE) that if next time if he just starts off the night with music a bit more laid back and build up to the same point where he was at midnight last night, not sure if I will be able to complain -- other than maybe a little less melody and more deeper basslines in the build up? But it really depends on the DJ he would be opening for -- thinking of a headliner who plays a lot of melody and hi-freq synthy music. Again, IMO!

I'd take last night as a real learning experience for him and hopes he uses it to his advantage in his future opening opportunities.

I loved Steve's energy. Thought he played a lot of good tracks. But his set didn't have that explosion that I usually hear from him. I think it might have been because he was making sure to play a lot of tracks from his upcoming mix comp he's releasing. Sometimes I am not a fan of CD release parties because of how the DJ has to be sure to play a lot of tracks from it and mix CDs aren't often indicative of how good that DJ is live on a normal night. His energy really helps the vibe and gets the crowd into it ... in the end, no complaints. just exploded more edge to the set. A preference thing!

Could only stay for about 45 minutes of Taj's set but it was hiiizzzoootttt....I really wish I could have stayed, but had to get home. Miss the good ole days sometimes lol.

Haven't had a chance to go through my video yet. I'll try to get like two clips tonight. Had to work in the morning, take a nap, then take care of the baby, and then had a couple other things to do...now just getting a break and am dead tired. So I'm lazy right now, lol.
